Need for Speed Heat can be driven with a steering wheel starting today

Need for Speed Heat received its first major update in 2020 with several useful additions.

Need for Speed Heat has been updated to version 1.6 today, and as things stand it seems to be the most important upgrade so far for Ghost Games' surprisingly solid game. For starters, the game finally got support for the steering wheel. I was convinced that something like this was already present in the game, but the team says that they have specifically tested a number of steering wheels in the last two months, so support has come only now. In any case, the support applies to all platforms, and here are the steering wheels that will work for sure:

Thrustmaster T300RS (PS4, PC)
Thrustmaster TX (XBO, PC)
Thrustmaster T150 (PS4, PC)
Thrustmaster TMX (XBO, PC)
Logitech G29 (PS4, PC)
Logitech G920 (XBO, PC)
Fanatec CSL Elite Racing Wheel (PS4, PC, XBO)
It is stressed that this is not a list of all supported drivers, so if you have one left, it might work. It is recommended that you install Logitech G Hub software on your PC, even if the steering wheel used is not Logitech's, for some reason. On consoles, the steering wheel must be connected before starting the game.

The update also brings a new chat wheel, primarily designed for gamepad purposes.

To the surprise of almost no one, Electronic Arts pulled microtransactions as part of this update three months later at NFS Heat. The option to purchase “map keys” was inserted. So with real money you can buy discovering all the locations on the map, all the activities, gas stations, etc. This is for those people who want to save time, according to Ghost Games.

This update is a little bigger than it was before. It weighs 3.5 gigabytes on PC, and console players will have to download even more - 4.94 GB on the Xbox, or 5.65 gigabytes on the PlayStation 4.
