Admittedly, we have no details with this statistic - it is not known how many players have actually played the game for a long time or how many games are currently active. In this case, it doesn't mean that Sea of Thieves was sold in 10 million copies, because the game is available as part of an Xbox Game Pass subscription. However, we know that half of the players played the game in the first three months after its release, and in the last half year, another two million players have played it.
In any case, Sea of Thieves is Microsoft's most successful new IP of this generation of Xboxes, and on this occasion, they are willing to reward players with unique gifts.
