Playful female characters are not in the pipeline for Escape From Tarkov
The creators of the shooter Escape From Tarkov have once again confirmed that the introduction of female characters is not planned.
Realistic shooter Escape From Tarkov is gaining popularity throughout its development process. And as more and more people become interested in the game, it is increasingly questionable whether she will be able to play the role of a female character. The answer to this has been negative for more than three years, and the Battlestate Games team gave its explanation yesterday why this is so.
In short, there are no female characters in the playful release because it would require "a tremendous amount of work with animations, using equipment, etc."
The argument that putting female characters in the game requires extra work is not the first of its kind. Six years ago, Ubisoft claimed the same on accusations that there were no playful female characters in Assassin's Creed Unity. Following these criticisms, Ubisoft took a turn in its games, so Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Ghost Recon and The Division series later gave players the choice of whether to play with a male or female character.
