Prices of GeForce RTX 2060 cards could soon go down
The most affordable RTX series card could soon become cheaper by around fifty euros, thanks to competition.
Yesterday, AMD announced at the CES show the RX 5600XT graphics card, which is imposed as a faster solution than Nvidia's alternative GeForce 1660 Ti. However, it looks like Nvidia plans to fight AMD's $ 279 offer with a more powerful card - GeForce RTX 2060.
Specifically, the EVGA manufacturer at CES has unveiled a new RTX 2060 KO line-up that will go on sale Jan. 13 at a suggested price of $ 299. It's $ 20 more expensive than AMD's solution, but more important than that - it's $ 50 cheaper than the current price of RTX 2060 cards, which, unlike AMD's RX line, offers raytracing support.
While this is not an official confirmation for the RTX 2060 line price cuts, there will be a minimum of one 2060 card that will be a little cheaper. There will be some trade-offs, so the cooling will be rudimentary with two fans and only three ports will be used: HDMI, DP and DVI-D.
