The sketchbook hints at new mechanics in The Last of Us Part 2
According to a drawing that appeared in the book The Art of The Last of Us Part II, it reveals one scene that is likely to be playful.
The biggest fans of The Last of Us will be tempted even after the release of part two. Namely, after the game itself, June 16, comes a book with drawings by which everything in the game was created. That book will have two editions, the standard one being cheaper ($ 36 for the paper version). A deluxe edition of more than 200 pages is a real treat, but also one that costs more than the game itself - $ 90.
The Deluxe edition of The Art of the Last of Us Part II also features a lithographic drawing, which you can see in the image above (right), which is of particular interest to us because of what it depicts. Specifically, in the scene shown, Ellie and her friend Dina ride their horses, escaping a horde of infected enemies. Still not in dispute, but the drawing shows Ellie using a bow and arrow while riding.
It may be a directed scene, but it is also possible that in The Last of Us Part 2 we will have a fight while riding. It would be a novelty for this series where it was previously ridden (and we've already seen that it will be in the twosome), but there was no use of weapons during those sequences.
We probably won't get confirmation of this mechanics until the next trailer, or maybe until the game itself comes out, but now it will - every hour, it's close to May 29, with only four months left.
