Batman: Arkham Knight will get a new costume that isn't really new
Something is still being done at Rocksteady Studios, but unfortunately for Batman fans - nothing is significant at this time.
The creators of the Batman: Arkham series have been silent for practically four and a half years. We know we will be announcing their new game soon, but today's news is not about it. It is tied to Batman: Arkham Knight, which received a cosmetic DLC in the form of Earth 2 Dark Knight costumes, which would not otherwise have been news had it not been for four years.
Specifically, the costume was available at Arkham Knight back in 2015, but with only a limited amount of publicity, to become one of the bonuses of Batman: Arkham Collection releases in 2017. Starting next Tuesday, January 28th, the costume will finally become available to * everyone *, which in turn means to all Arkham Knight owners on the PlayStation 4 console. Why only those on the PS4? That will probably remain a mystery.
If anything, procrastination with this costume can be said to be in the spirit of other procrastination related to virtual Batman. In addition to Rocksteady not announcing their new game, another WB Montreal studio has been hinting for months that they have been working on a Batman game they have never discovered. The procrastination came to such an extent that Batman fans had already become frustrated with it.
