Ever Forward is a puzzle game about a girl lost in imagination
The Pathea Games development team has announced its new PC and console game. Ever Forward is out this spring.
My Time at Portia is one of those games I've run into more time than I'm willing to admit, so I was intrigued by the next project of the Pathea Games development team. It was revealed this week under the name Ever Forward, and in fact it bears no resemblance to the game mentioned earlier.
This is a puzzle adventure where we have to get Maya girl out of a strange world somewhere between reality and imagination. In doing so, we uncover bits and pieces of her past and the dark secrets she had renounced earlier. The puzzles will be of the type that they can be solved in many different ways. There will be teleportation and gravity control, and in addition to solving the puzzles, there will also be several actions in the game with hiding from opponents.
Ever Forward will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch platforms from the fifth month of 2020.
It is known who will play Vesemir in the second season of The Witcher
We will see Geralt's great friend and mentor and one of the oldest Witchers in the new season of the Netflix series.
The first season of The Witcher was viewed by more than 76 million people, according to the latest Netflix release. Geralta embodied Henry Cavill, best known for his role as Superman, in the series and did an excellent job. The Witcher thus became the most watched series in its first season on Netflix.
In the second season we will see for the first time Geralt's teacher and one of the strongest Witchers - Vesemir. We also found out who would play him. It is about Kim Bodni, the Danish actor and star of the series Killing Eve and Most. Although Mark Hamill was the first choice for many fans, the producers of the series opted for the aforementioned Dan.
"I'm very happy to welcome new member of The Witcher series to Kim Bodni. I admire his talent in series such as Killing Eve and The Bridge and cannot wait to contribute to the strength, warmth and toughness of a character such as Vesemir, who will be an integral part of the upcoming season, "reads the series' executive producer Lauren S. Hissrich.
In addition to appearing in season two of The Witcher, Vesemir will also receive his own animated series. The Witcher: Nightmare of The Wolf will follow his story after the appearance of the mysterious Deglan. Executive producer Lauren S. Hissrich and screenwriter Beau De Mayo should have their fingers in the matter.
Doom Eternal can be run up to 1000 fps
For PC Master elitists, a new question might become: "But can your PC run Doom Eternal at 1000 fps?"
For years on PC, we haven't had demanding games like Crysis from 2007. More specifically, we've had some hardware-hungry games, but primarily because of poor optimization. That's good news, but it's clear to everyone that the price of high-end gaming hardware is higher today than it was a decade ago, and not many PC-designed games are designed to make the most of such hardware.
That should change with the arrival of Doom International next month.
Namely, Doom Eternal won't be a terribly demanding game, but in its case the id Tech 7 engine fired the brake to an unimaginable level. Specifically, while the 2016 Doom with the id Tech 6 launcher could spin up to a maximum of 250 frames per second, Doom Eternal will set the fps limit at 1000 frames per second. In the PC version.
Of course, none of today's configurations that fit into a regular computer case will * probably * approach this limit. It just means that Doom Eternal will be ready for anything in the near future: graphics that brew coffee, monitors with a frequency of 1000hz, and the like.
In other words, Doom Eternal will be the "benchmark" in the world of PC gaming over the next few years and a benchmark against which to see who has the stronger. Now, is there any specific benefit to turning the game to 1000 fps instead of 144 fps? Science will probably judge it - when someone launches that game at 1000 fps.
The Homeworld series is coming to mobile phones, here's what the gameplay looks like
Homeworld Mobile is delivering on-the-go tacticization with a brand new galaxy to explore, and now we have the opportunity to see what space battles will look like.
The Homeworld series is back in great style because in addition to the announcement of a third installment for major platforms, we will be able to play this cult strategy on the go. Homeworld Mobile will thus introduce us to a new galaxy to explore, as well as new adversaries and allies. Equipping the units, in this case spaceships, will be a standard part of the game, and we secretly hope that we will not be able to buy colors and equipment with microtransactions. Admittedly, we will still have to wait for the order to be demon- strated, as this account of the game does not reveal much in that field.

The Chinese League of Legends League will change the playing format, culprit - coronavirus
The decision came just a month after the LPL League announced that it would be suspended due to the outbreak of a known virus.
The new season in the League of Legends kicked off on January 13, with matches from teams from the Chinese League - League of Legends Pro League. As early as 26 January, the LPL was suspended for overly worrying about the new virus. Since it was Chinese New Year at the time, all league players were on hiatus and a return was expected on February 5, but it did not happen.
Yesterday, the English version of its own Twitter profile issued an official announcement to the LPL about its continuation. In agreement with the league representatives, it was decided that it would continue, but in a slightly different format - online. However, all players will be required to undergo stringent quarantine procedures for 14 days on the premises of their clubs. The exception will be players who live in places where they must not leave.
League of Legends Pro League continues on 9/3 and it is currently unknown how potential problems with increased ping within the game will be addressed. The different locations of the clubs may present trouble and possibly decide the winner of the match. The most ideal solution would be to play matches on servers that are equidistant from both teams.
This decision shapes the new history of League of Legends. Since its release, it has never happened for one major esport league to be played in an online format. Still, Riot Games is convinced that this type of gameplay will not interfere with the LPL, which is one of their most exciting leagues. It should be noted that the last two World Cup winners came from the Chinese League.
The Little Hope horror adventure will scare us next summer
The creators of Until Dawn and Man of Medan have announced that their next horror game will be ready for summer this year.
With the end of last year's horror game Man of Medan, the next adventure in The Dark Pictures is immediately announced. A lot of things were known by then: it would be called Little Hope, it would take place in the town of the same name, and it would have to do with witches. Now we have a few more details.
The game will accompany five characters, four students and their professor. They are detained in a city surrounded by impenetrable fog, haunted by nightmares. This time one of the characters will be played by famous Hollywood actor Will Poulter.
We will play Little Hope in the summer of 2020 in PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

The creator of League of Legends will reportedly be called Valorant
If unofficial information is to be believed, the new game of League of Legends megahit creators will be called Valorant.
Riot Games announced a number of games last year, including a tactical shooter called Project A. In the meantime, there was a lot of talk, but one thing went wrong - the final name. If the unconfirmed rumors stemming from ProjectAOnline's Twitter profile are to be believed, the game in question will be called Valorant.
It was discovered by sniffing around the registry of websites where playvalorant.com belongs to Riot Games. Twitter already has a profile of the same name, created this month, this year. It seems pretty legitimate, if you ask us. And Valorant is a very memorable name, much like Overwatch.
From another source, however, came the above attached picture of one of the characters in the game. So we got her name and descriptions of her skills. In addition to the prominent Sage, two other characters are mentioned: Brimstone and Viper. That Sage really is part of the game, whatever it may be called, can be confirmed through an official gameplay show, where at one point her hands are seen as she controls a three-purpose orb.
Of course, none of this is official, but as I stated earlier - it seems like Valorant is a pretty darned name, and we'll find out more about the game very soon.
A “Russian BioShock” called Atomic Heart showed us its robotic frogs and other wonders
The former USSR had some really bizarre ideas in the field of robotics, at least if one believes in the fantasy of the upcoming Atomic Heart game.
People are looking for GTA 6 in this picture, we don't see it
Rockstar Games has updated its website with some new images and logos, and Internet detectives immediately interpreted it as a potential announcement of GTA 6.
These days, the Rockstar Games official website has the above image of a female robot in a hug with the Rockstar logo. Since the robot in question is not a character from some of their existing games, the release of the image aroused the interest of fans, so they began to "dig" to find out why Rockstar put that image on the official site. Soon, another image was found, which they did not publish publicly, and there are more mysterious elements on it. If you choose to interpret it that way.
Specifically, the picture reads, among other things: "Killing Dreams, Murdering Hope, Fighting the Righteous, Bullyng the Weak", and "Since 1998". It's a slogan that dates back to six years ago, and the reference to 1998 is somewhat clear - Rockstar Games was then officially founded under that name.
While this is probably just a creative experiment for Rockstar Games' new visual branding, some argue that Rockstar never does something like this without suggesting an early announcement… of something. Internet detectives have already started decrypting and counting the number of times Rockstar's logo appears on the right, analyzing that number and dividing it by Pi, as this may be the GTA 6 release date.
While this is certainly not the case, it should be admitted that this would not be Rockstar's first time announcing anything by simply posting pictures. Red Dead Redemption 2 was confirmed before the official announcement in a very similar way - by changing the logo on Rockstar's Twitter profile.
Play ARK: Survival Evolved for free until Monday
The hit dinosaur game recently got a new expansion, and now you can try it out if you've never played one.
Fans of dinosaur survival and capture are eagerly awaiting some new series featuring creatures from ARK: Survival Evolveda and Igor in the lead role. However, this will not happen yet, but they can be content with what the Wildcard Studio team has to offer.
ARK: Survival Evolved is free on Steam and anyone who wants to try it out can use it by this Monday. Also, during this period they will be able to play all DLC expansions, except for the latest Genesis, which includes Extinction, Aberration and Scorched Earth.
If the experience of playing and hunting dinosaurs goes without too much trouble, the basic game will be able to be bought for 80% off the price. All other expansions affected by this action are at 50% off. It should be noted that these discounts are valid until 9 March, so it is time to decide.
ARK: Survival Evolved recently received a new expansion called ARK: Genesis. However, the DLC did not come out in full, but was split into two. In the first part, among other things, a huge turtle arrived that players can tame and build a base on its back. The second part should arrive at the end of the year.
Vomiting is proven to save players from death in Red Dead Redemption 2
The resourceful players of Rockstar's cowboy have found a way to deal with the damage caused by falling from a great height.
Red Dead Redemption 2, like other Rockstar titles, is the ideal material for any nonsense. Unfortunately for the creators of the game, Red Dead's bizarreness is most often tied to the online component, to the detriment of other players. However, there are some tricks that are not technically cheating, and only use the player who uses them. One such has been observed in recent months and includes vomiting to avoid death from falling from high altitude.
Please, how?
You read that right, Red Dead Redemption 2 players use their own character vomit to minimize damage when jumping from high altitudes. You must be wondering how that is possible. Quite simply, some would say - you need to find certain plants (preferably a marsh reed - Bullrush), get your character to eat it, wait for him to be ill, then jump off the edge of a cliff and - voilà . For some reason, gravity in Red Dead Redemption 2 is not worth the payback.
This is how it looks in practice:
The popular game about the spread of the virus has now been removed from sale in China
Just a week after the game gained in popularity in the country, it was removed from the App Store for the Chinese market.
Plague Inc. is a strategy-simulation game of Ndemic Creations in which the player must develop the full potential of a particular virus to infect the entire world. Although scary to some, the game actually teaches about human health and ways viruses can spread, and we can help prevent them. This is supported by the fact that Ndemic collaborates with numerous world health organizations. 130 million people have played the game so far.
However, the action within this game does not seem to sit well with the Chinese authorities who are Plague Inc. decided to declare it an illegal creation and remove it from the Chinese App Store. The Chinese were greatly aided by the Cyberspace Administration. The situation in which the people of Ndemic found themselves is currently beyond their control.
An official statement said: "We are working hard to find a way to get the game back into the hands of Chinese players. We don't want to give up on you, however, as a small independent studio in the United Kingdom, we don't have too much of a chance. Our priority is to contact the Cyberspace Administration of China to understand their reasons and come to a common solution. "
It is unknown if this decision resulted in a newly created virus or popularity of the game with Chinese players. Ndemic assures the other players that nothing will change and will at the same time support Plague and Rebel Inc. games on all platforms and try to solve the situation in China.
China has become quite strict in the past two decades when it comes to video games. In those 20 years, the Chinese authorities banned their production, import, and sale of consoles and arcade machines. Last year, they passed a law that children should not play video games after 10pm.

Korean MMO Black Desert Online is shared for Free
Three-year-old MMORPG game from Korean production, Black Desert Online, is currently available for free on Steam.
Do you need a little grind in your life? And more of a Korean grind, because that one is usually the fiercest one? Steam says no problem - Black Desert Online, an MMORPG that has been on the market for three years and has received a Remastered release, can be purchased for free from today until March 2nd.
On this occasion you can get the game into permanent ownership, and with it the basic Starter Package. However, in order to receive this Starter's Package, you must download and start the game at least once by the specified date (March 2nd). It's not a great deal because the game costs 10 euros otherwise, but here it is - it's free. Will it be enough for you to endure in this title where the various bonuses are paid and the focus is on PvP, you will have to evaluate for yourself.
The San Andreas Prix has been unveiled in GTA online
The new expansion for GTA Online focuses on race cars in seven Grand Prix format special races.
GTA Online is now richer for two new open-wheel vehicles, the PR4 and R88. But that is just the beginning, as the arrival of the same will kick off the San Andreas Prix, a competition that will run on seven created apartments in San Andreas. It will race at the Los Santos docks, at the airport, as part of Fort Zancud, etc.
The competition rules are similar to a real GP, which means that you will have to do a pit stop and change tires during the race. The cars themselves will be able to be modified at Los Santos Customs, thus changing their spoilers, engine, brakes, front wing, etc.
The first gameplay images from Baldur's Gate 3 have appeared
The official launch of Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay is scheduled for 9:30 pm tonight, but the first images from the game have leaked ahead of time thanks to a French page. The image is said to speak a thousand words, which is not entirely true in this case, but it is not far from it.
For starters, we can see how Baldur's Gate 3 will take a different approach to presenting character dialogues. It will no longer be a static model like Divinity: Original Sin, but the camera here will focus on Witcher and Dragon Age characters. The characters themselves will therefore be modeled in detail and feature facial animations like the ones in Divinity.
As for the gameplay itself in the context of combat, it will be performed very similarly to Divinity, with almost identical layout of elements in the interface - folders in the upper right corner, portraits of characters in the lower left, events log in the lower right, etc. They are even and icons for skills and objects very similar to those of Divinity.
Of course, this is just a preview of an early version of the game, which means that the interface could change over time. As things stand, the game should go through an early access phase where it is the player's reactions that will determine what works and what needs to be changed.
Diablo 4 will be able to play on the PC using the controller, the devil took it
Blizzard has released some new details about the interface and controls of Diablo 4, which will lend some version options to PCs for consoles.
Blizzard has shared some new details and information about Diablo 4 with its fans, some of which could give rise to complicated discussions. In particular, as far as the PC version is concerned, it will get a bit of "console love". Namely, as this is the first Diablo game to be developed for both PC and consoles, it has been decided that for the first time in PC history, the PC version will have native support for playing controller or gamepad.
This will, of course, be an optional thing, and the switching between the mouse / keyboard and controller will be instantaneous and the game interface will adapt to the control method used at the same time. This kind of support is generally good because it provides more ways to play the game, but the most ardent Diablo fans may see the introduction of controller support in the PC version as a simplification of the Diablo formula. Blizzard is saying that this is not the case and that controller support is not a limiting thing for how complex a game can be.
Of the slightly less controversial novelties, it has been announced that players will be able to change keys for all actions in the game, including left-clicking. So, if for some reason you don't like the left click to attack and collect equipment - you will be able to switch this action to another button.
As for the interface, Blizzard listened to fan suggestions on BlizzConn for a little while and made the interface itself less colorful, primarily in inventory where the colors for the loot lost their grip. For the main interface and position for the skills, mana, and energy segment, Blizzard will offer two options on the PC: this part will be positioned in the middle at the bottom of the screen, or in the bottom left corner.
However, console players will not be able to choose between these two options, but they will be positioned in the bottom left corner. The reason is that the players are farther away from the TV than from the monitor, thus reducing the need to shift their gaze from the middle of the screen to the corners.
As for the new content, a family of enemies - the cannibals - was introduced. Certainly, cannibals engage in the consumption of human flesh and attack caravans for this purpose. They have four different types of opponents, all of which use proximity weapons. So, cannibals do not have long range attacks, but some have the ability to jump towards a player, or to jump over objects and even each other to reach a player.
Insurgency: Sandstorm finally arrives on consoles - second half of 2020
A year after it first appeared on PC, the realistic shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm has a release date on consoles. Unfortunately, it's not very close.
The Insurgency Tactical Shooter: Sandstorm on PC came out in late 2018 and it was then said that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console versions would follow shortly. More than “soon” came from this - the game did not appear on these platforms during 2019, so it was doubtful whether it would ever be completed.
The answer is - they will, and now we finally know when. Focus Home Interactive will launch Insurgency: Sandstorm on consoles on August 25, 2020. That date is not very close, it still has half a year to go, but it is at least specifically set and perhaps more importantly - before the new Call of Duty.

Hotshot Racing arcade racing has been discovered
The upcoming Hotshot Racing game is inspired by classic arcade racing such as Virtua Racing and the SEGA Rally.
The Lucky Mountain Games team wants to popularize arcade racing among today's generation of players and will launch a Hotshot Racing game to that end. Inspired by titles such as Crusin 'USA and the SEGA Rally, this vibrant color and simple-looking game promises to race at 60 frames per second across all platforms (PC, PS4, XBO, Switch).
The game will offer eight different drivers, 16 sunny trails around the world, and four driving modes with support for single-player and multiplayer, whether online or local for four players in split-screen format.
The traditional Grand Prix is competitive mode, the Time Trial is clear to everyone, and the Cops & Robbers mode is one in which we escape from the police. The last mode will be Drive or Explode, in which it is important to get to the checkpoint as soon as possible before the car explodes.
GOG.com now offers cashback regardless of how long you've been playing the game
GOG.com has changed its rules slightly regarding the refund policy for purchased games.
The CD Project team has made another move that GOG.com users might like. They changed the policy regarding seeking a refund for the game purchased. Now that process has significantly fewer restrictions, especially compared to the one on Steam.
Specifically, you can now buy a game from GOG.com and receive a refund within 30 days of purchase, regardless of how long you have played the game. Of course, that's the way it is on paper and in theory. We have yet to see the practice, but GOG.com says they are ready for possible abuse attempts.
They are aware that 30 days is enough for most of the games to be played and for the player to try to claim their money by himself without a valid reason for refund. The team therefore advises that they will monitor such cases and will refuse a refund if they determine that it is to the detriment of the game manufacturer.
In translation, it might be time for you to play a game for several tens of hours and then ask for a refund. However, this will remain on the record and if you try to do the same again, CD Projekt will determine that you are abusing the system and will deny you a refund.
PlayStation Plus offers giants and high-speed Sonic in the third month
Sony has revealed what games it presents in the third month through its PlayStation Plus subscription service. There is one acclaimed exclusive and another very average game on offer.
The good thing about Sony and their PS Plus is that they occasionally follow certain trends and calendar events. Now, decide for yourself if this is a good thing in the third month as well. Specifically, PS Plus subscribers get Sonic Forces in March, which is no coincidence since Sonic: Super Hedgehog is currently a hot commodity in cinemas due to the movie of the same name.
I say make it your own choice because Sonic Forces is not the best accepted game with an average score of 57 on Metacritic. But last year they split Sonic Mania, so they obviously had no alternative.
Fortunately, in addition to Sonic in the third month, they also share the 2018 Shadow of the Colossus rework. This is a modern edition of the all-time classic, a game that is unique in its story and performance 14 years later. Hunting for Colossi Giant is exclusive to PlayStation 4 anyway, so it's a good thing that it can be experienced for free * as part of the PS Plus.
Both games will be available for download from 3 March until 6 April.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 gets an Age of Rebellion update today
New content for Star Wars Battlefornt 2 this time is focused on the original trilogy. So dear Ewoki to everyone.
If Star Wars isn't over your head, Battlefront 2 will get a host of new content today. The Age of Rebellion update brings seven co-op locations, additional weapons, two new characters, AI character upgrades and two new maps for Heroes Vs. Villains mod.
Both new characters belong to the Infiltrator class. On the rebel side will be Ewok Hunter. His main weapon is a bow whose effectiveness is increased the longer the player stays on the attack. The cool thing is that Ewok's arrows don't appear on the scanners. Ewok also has the Valiant Horn skill, which gives it greater resistance to attacks, and can itself do more damage at the cost of being displayed to everyone on the scanner.
On the empire side is the new character of ISB Agent. She uses two RK-3 blasters and has an Assault Training skill that increases her movement speed and the damage she receives while moving. There's also the Imperial Intel skill that reveals her position to the nearest four opponents.
The game Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time has been announced
The Samurai Jack animated series will receive an accompanying video game for PC and consoles this summer. The game is called Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time.
I don't follow the world of animated series, but somehow I know about Samurai Jack. And thanks to Google, I know there have been no video games in that franchise for a long time, dating back to the PlayStation 2 and GameBoy Advance era. But that will change this summer as a new game called Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.
The game's plot is set before Jack's battle with Aku, in alternate timelines of human history. The goal, of course, is to break into the time zone where the demon Aku is located and defeat him, either with swords or long range weapons.
The story of the game was coined by the writer of the series himself, Darrick Bachman, and with the Japanese studio Soleil Games he also works closely with the creator of the series himself, Genndy Tartakovsky.
The Division 2 is free from tomorrow, you can already start downloading it
Ubisoft's The Division 2 will once again be available for free for a week, available on all platforms.
The anniversary of the release of The Division 2, a game for which Ubisoft has failed to gather the desired number of players, is nearing its regular release. The first major expansion of the Warlords of New York is coming soon, and another free play weekend has been organized on this occasion.
From tomorrow, February 27, until Monday, March 2, there is a free weekend on all three platforms: PC (Uplay, Epic Games Launcher), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can already download games on PC and PlayStation 4, which is recommended because it weighs more than 50 gigabytes. PlayStation gaming does not require a PS Plus subscription, but on Xbox you need to have Xbox Live Gold.
During this period, the game will be able to play in its entirety, with all the content so far launched, but without the Warlords of New York expansion. If you decide to buy the game, all your progress will be saved. The game is still on a massive discount, up to 95% and can be purchased for less than thirty kunas.
If you don't want to play The Division 2 on your own, join our Discord server where I'll be playing this game myself this weekend so you can join me or find more interested players to play.

Predator and Predator are unstoppable beasts in Predator: Hunting Grounds
The title Predator and its female version in the upcoming game will have several classes and different armor that will determine the characteristics of the player himself.
I don't know if anyone in a game called Predator: Hunting Grounds wants to play the role of predator. It probably doesn't exist, and those who live for the occasion have been offered several options by the creators of the game. Predator and Predator will thus have three classes: Hunter, Scout and Beserker.
The Hunter class will be able to choose their weapons, the Scout will have increased speed and unlimited stamina while Beserker will have more powerful attacks and more health.
All three classes will each have several different armor that can be placed on a Predator / Predator. A pretty good design for these armor can be seen in the trailer just released.
Elon Musk's girlfriend slightly spoiled Cyberpunk 2077
In a recent podcast, a musician named Grimes revealed a little more detail about the character she plays in Cyberpunk 2077.
Claire Elise Boucher, or Grimes, is a Canadian songwriter whose songs, among other things, we will be listening to in Cyberpunk 2077. Since the end of last year, we know that the singer in question will have her own character in the same game, and now we know a little more about that character.
Namely, in a recent stream, Grimes talked a bit about Cyberpunk 2077 and her engagement, and when describing her character, she also stepped into the territory of potential spoilers. Not that she ruined the whole story, though, her character is a side character, but if you want to get totally unprepared for Cyberpunk 2077, we give you a choice - feel free to skip the next part where we list which character is played by girlfriend Elon Musk.
Star Wars: The High Republic is the next chapter of the Star Wars franchise
Lucasfilm have revealed what's next for the Star Wars series. Interestingly, the new era in which new stories will unfold so far has not yet been covered by video games.
The long-running Star Wars saga of the Skywalkers has been concluded once and for all, okay? Okay. At Lucasfilm, they have decided to turn over a new newspaper and start a new Star Wars chapter, and today they have revealed the first details of the same. That chapter is an era called High Republic, chronologically located 200 years before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
It's quite a fresh era, in the sense that it hasn't been covered in movies, series or video games so far. It is an era in which the Jedi order is at the height of power, their golden age, an optimistic time of peace and prosperity for the Galactic Republic. The Jedi during this period were more like the peace-keeping rangers and helping spread the republic to Outer Rome.
In this new chapter, Star Wars will get new characters, not just Jedi, but some unexpected heroes and antagonists. The main threat will be the "Space Vikings" called The Nile.
The first stories from the High Republic era will be delivered in the form of novels on which five authors have been working for the last two years. These authors are Claudia Gray, Justina Ireland, Daniel José Older, Cavan Scott and Charles Soule, with stories named: Into the Dark, A Test of Courage, The High Republic Adventures, Light of the Jedi and The High Republic. It will be stories unlike the audience - both for older fans and for younger ages.
So far, there are no movies or games to be announced in this Star Wars era.
The PlayStation 5 Gamepad might keep track of how much your palms are sweating
Sony has filed a patent application for an add-on controller that would track a player's physical condition - his heart rate and sweat level.
Sony has recently launched the PlayStation 4 controller add-on, and it is possible that it will continue to do so on PlayStation 5. Specifically, it has been noted that the company has filed a patent registration to protect the idea of a player tracking supplement. In particular, a gamepad accessory that would analyze heart rate and electrodermal activity or sweat.
None of these things in the context of gaming are really new. Joy-Con controllers for the Nintendo Switch have sensors that can measure the pulse of the player. For example, in the Ring Fit Adventure post-workout game, you have the option of measuring your heart rate for which you need to hold your thumb on the sensor for a few seconds before the game can estimate how intense you are exercising.
As for sweating, long ago there was the idea of a controller that would prevent the sweating of palms. I personally used Logitech's Chillstream controller even though I have no problem with sweating my palms while playing, and I remember that the whole thing was just one of the specifics of selling a controller and the fan cooling function of the palm itself wasn't ultimately particularly revolutionary.
Just like in the case of all other patents, this is no guarantee that Sony will actually make any accessory that measures sweat on the palms of their hands. However, they are clearly thinking about it, perhaps driven by the success of Nintendo's Switch console add-ons.

And Kojima Productions is afraid of coronavirus, misses this year's GDC
The growing panic about coronavirus is catching people, and so are many video game publishers and producers. Hidea Kojime Studio is new to a series of studios that have canceled their arrival at some of the upcoming conventions.
The Game Developers Conference is scheduled to take place in San Francisco from May 16 to March 20. at Moscone Center. Kojima Productions have announced they will not be attending this year's edition of GDC due to coronaviruses. Hideo Kojima was scheduled to give a one-hour speech about his game last year - Death Stranding.
"Kojima Productions has made the difficult decision to quit appearing at the Game Developers Conference 2020 because of increased concern about the newly developed virus. Unfortunately, that includes canceling the performances of Hide Kojima (19.3) and Eric Johnson (16.3), ”the official statement said.
Earlier, when canceling numerous other studies, GDC organizers said they would take every precaution to keep the convention. Strict coronavirus laws in the US should help - from safety tips to anyone who gets there to clean latch, elevators, microphones and stuff.
Kojima Productions has thus joined Sony and Facebook who have already canceled their appearances at this year's Game Developers Conference. So far, despite the organizers' belief in safety, no studio has shown a desire to change their minds.
Microsoft has revealed what Xbox Series X brings, and the hardware of the console itself is confirmed
Microsoft has introduced all the key features of the new Xbox console, and we've learned surprisingly little about what's new.
The Xbox Series X console is less familiar to us than the PlayStation 5 because, unlike the Sony console, at least we know what the next Xbox will look like. However, the puzzle is slowly coming together so today we know some more new details. You may have heard and read about some of the things on the HCL portal, but here they are - now they are official that they can't be official because they were written by Xbox chief Phil Spencer on an official blog. Phil writes like this…
- it has been confirmed that the console will use a specially designed processor using AMD's Zen 2 and RDNA 2 architectures
- The Xbox Series X will have 12 teraflops of computing power, by comparison - that's double the size of the Xbox One X console and nearly three times the PS4 Pro console
- console will support variable rate shading VRS for more stable performance and hardware-derived DirectX Raytracing
- as we already knew, the console will use an SSD, but it has not yet been confirmed how much capacity
- the console will support HDMI 2.1 and 120 fps performance, even at variable image refresh rates
- it has been confirmed that the console will be able to hold multiple games in memory at one time, which means that one game no longer needs to be closed to start another; however, it has not been said how many games will be able to run simultaneously
- it has been confirmed that games with the previous three generations of Xbox will be running on the Xbox Series X console; meaning all games for the Xbox One, and X360 and Xbox titles that Microsoft has made compatible with the Xbox One
Ok, we knew it more or less, except for the teraflops that only technicians would fire anyway; what's really new? One important thing is confirmed, which is the following:
- If you buy a game that is available on both the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X console, with one copy you will be able to play that game on both consoles and the next-gen version will be available for free
- for example, if you buy Halo Infinite for Xbox One, you don't have to pay for the next-gen version of the game on Xbox Series X
- admittedly, this only applies to games made by the Xbox Game Studios team and it has not been revealed whether all intergenerational games will receive such treatment - and they probably won't
- it has been confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will receive a free upgrade to the next-gen version, but this is the case of CD Projekt Red, other publishers may not be so generous
Sony and Disney believe in continuing their collaboration with Spider-Man
The superhero currently embodied by Tom Holland dropped out of the Marvel movie universe last year because of a feud between the two companies.
He who fights is loved. So we could describe the situation between Sony and Disney over the rights to the beloved Peter Parker and his alter ego. Both companies profited last year with Spider-Man's appearance in Avengers: Endgame and his own solo film, Spider-Man: Far From Home. However, a short while later, a shock ensued - Sony and Disney split due to disagreements (read money), which meant that Tom Holland's character would not be watched in the MCU. Yet, a month after that, a new twist occurred - the aforementioned studios are finding a deal and Spider-Man remains part of the Marvel movie universe.
MCU's third Spider-Man movie is released on 7/16/2021. years. The new-old deal between Sony and Disney states that every two years a new movie about the aforementioned character must be released, with his appearance in one of the future MCU films. A number of unofficial internet sources claim that this will happen in some new Avengers movie.
The Hollywood Reporter interviewed Sony and Disney CEOs Tom Rothman and Alan Horn. Both recalled last year's breakup and fan reaction. "I think we would eventually find ourselves in this situation. The media has gone over some things, "Rothman said.
"Numerous fans have responded positively to the impact Tom and his team have achieved. This made us rethink the decision and ultimately renew our collaboration, ”Horn argued, when asked if the collaboration would continue in the context of Spider-Man in the MCU, and replied,“ I hope it will. This deal was a win for Sony, Disney and the fans. "
Tom Holland appeared in five MCU films as Spider-Man, debuting in 2016 in the third sequel to Captain America. In addition to that film, he has starred in two of his own and as many Avengers films. The last one he appeared in was Spider-Man: Far From Home, and that movie actually served as the epilogue to Avengers: Endgame, or rather, the Infinity saga.
Rainbow Six Siege has set a new record of its own on the number of active players on Steam
Four years and two months after its release, Rainbow Six Siege continues to grow and attract new players.
Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege game was released back in the 12th month of 2015, and although it didn't initially promise to be a title popular in the long run, despite its initial problems, the players showed great interest. This interest was noticed by Ubisoft itself, so they continued to invest with long-term plans. Throughout its history, the game has experienced many ups and downs, but over time, with the dedicated support of Ubisoft, it has been able to make its way into one of the most popular FPS titles today.
Rainbow Six Siege has beaten the figure of 180,000 active players on Steam in the last 24 hours. On the platform itself, the exact number is 180,463 people, placing the game in fifth place on the most played games on Steam - just behind Counter Strike: Global Offensive (896,092), Dote 2 (647,020), PUBG (584,139) and GTA V (228,023) . However, this number of active players does not include those from Uplay and consoles, so the assumption is that it is much higher.
Since its release, about 55 million players have played the game, and that number has been growing steadily. Before every new season, Ubisoft offers a weekend of trying out the R6 Siege, injecting DLCs and various in-game events - all for free. This tactical FPS shows no signs of weakening and may stand alongside League of Legends, Doti 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive in the next two years if Ubisoft fulfills the promises it has prepared for the game's fifth and sixth years.
Baldur's Gate 3 could play through Early Access this year
Hasbro, owner of publisher Wizards of the Coast, has announced that the long-awaited third sequel to the Baldur's Gate saga will be available in Early Access form this year.
Admittedly, the exact release dates of Steam Early Access and the official 1.0 versions are still being kept secret, but given the series of delays we've witnessed this year, it's clear why the publisher is not relegated to premature announcements.
For Larian Studios, the development studio working on this title, this practice is not new. Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin 2 originally came out as Early Access titles to be released full-year after a year. With that in mind, we can expect Baldur's Gate 3 next year. Although it is announced that the game will be a PC title, Divinity: Original Sin series games may have come to consoles, so we can hope that Baldur's Gate 3 will follow the same fate.
D&D fans have reason to be cheerful as Hasbro has revealed his plans for a games release until 2025. According to the above, we can expect at least one D&D game every year, and as many as 5 titles are currently under development. As early as this fall, we are expecting a multiplayer sofa titled Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, which, as we have already written, follows Drizzt Do'Urden on his adventures.
It is unknown if this figure also includes a new futuristic RPG title prepared by Archetype Entertainment, the newly founded studio behind Wizards of the Coast. It brings together veterans of the video game industry, led by James Ohlen, who was the lead designer behind titles such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, and Dragon Age: Origins, so we believe we have a good RPG games for the next 5 years will definitely not miss.
Hasbro expects a lot of profits from these titles, and according to their assumptions, the RPG market brings in $ 12 billion annually, and among fans of the genre, as many as 65% are familiar with the Dungeons & Dragons franchise.
Anyway, the gameplay of the premiere of the third installment of the Baldur's Gate series is coming soon, and if you're impatient like us, you know where you are on February 27 at 9:30 pm.

Bethesda has decided to remove its games from GeForce Now
Forget about free streaming Bethesda games like Skyrim, Fallout, Doom and the like. It's not going to happen.
Nvidia GeForce Now's streaming service may have been tried by more than a million users, but this figure does not impress record companies that make no profit. First, Activision Blizzard withdrew its games from that platform, and only a week later we learned that they had pulled the same move from Bethesda.
So, it will no longer be possible to play on GeForce Now: TES V: Skyrim, Doom (2016), Dishonored 1 & 2, The Evil Within 2, Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 76, Wolfenstein 1 & 2. Only Wolfenstein: Youngblood remains on offer as one of the few raytracing-enabled games.
The reason why record companies pull games with GeForce Now is that Nvidia does not currently want to pay any compensation to the owners of the rights to those games. In other words, game publishers make no financial profit from having players stream their games through GeForce Now.
In Nvidia, they hope that game publishers will get better in the future and see the benefits of the streaming platform. One such benefit is that thanks to the GeForce Now service, people who wouldn't buy it without the streaming option can decide to buy a game because they don't have a strong enough computer to run the game.
All airports in the world will be present in Microsoft Flight Simulator
Check out what the airport modeling process looks like in the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator game. The fact that all the world's airports are represented in this game sounds a bit unreal.
Although the goal of Microsoft Flight Simulator is to spend as much time in the air as possible, the locations where we start and conclude our travels are a key segment of the game. And that's where the French team at Asobo Studio put in the effort, so they decided to put all the airports in the world into play ... or at least all that could be seen in satellite images. Eighty major airports will be presented in more detail, but the rest will not be neglected.
The modeling process for these airports is very specific because half of the work is done by the algorithm, and you can check how it looks in the following video:
