Minecraft received a library that fights against journalism in the world

International Reporters Without Borders has decided to use Minecraft to store banned material in parts of the world.

Minecraft is a game where you can build beautiful buildings and nonsense, but also a game that can have some interesting applications. One of these was demonstrated by the non-profit international organization Reporters Without Borders, which, in collaboration with the BlockWorks studio, created a virtual library in Minecraft. The reason for this is to store different materials that are censored or banned in individual countries or regimes.

24 people from 16 countries around the world worked at the Uncensored Library. The building is impressive in appearance, but even more impressive is that it is located on an open server where it also contains articles and other materials of journalists who have ended up in prison, exile, or have been killed because of inconvenience to the political regime.

Minecraft comes here as a hole in the law because it is not banned in countries like Russia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, etc., which cannot be said for all the websites, blogs and the press there. The banned materials in Minecraft are invisible to agencies working for the government, although this announcement has definitely thrown them a "bug in the ear". However, what is stored inside this library in Minecraft cannot be modified, so those who do not respond can only search for the server on which the library is located - or ban Minecraft in their countries, which is equally difficult to do.
