Saunas and ideologies arrive at Surviving the Aftermath
The next extension of Surviving Aftermath is called Sanctuary and brings shelter to - you wouldn't believe - saunas.
Surviving the Aftermath is cited as a spiritual sequel to the famous Paradox Interactive title - Surviving Mars. The game arrived in Early Access during the 11th month of last year and has since received four updates. The fifth, called Sanctuary, was announced last night during a live broadcast on its publisher's Twitch channel.
Representatives of the Iceflake development studio on live streaming revealed that the Sanctuary was originally called Bad Luck, but the name was changed because of the pensive direction the game was supposed to go, which cannot be described by any means. Since Iceflake is a Finnish studio, it was decided to put saunas in the game because, as they say, it is something characteristic of Finland. The wooden room will thus provide relaxation and better hygiene to the residents.
In addition to saunas, in Surviving the Aftermath we will also be able to choose ideologies. The livestream explained that they would be available for selection before colonization began. Players will thus be able to choose between surviving, building or exploring. Each of these will have elements that users will be able to unlock with each new step.
Surviving the Aftermath is currently on the Epic Games Store and is available for £ 19.99. A new update is coming to the game on March 5, and with the new features, a feedback option will be included. The full list of new things will be available at the time of Sanctuary release.
