FIFA 21 was left without several goal celebrations due to toxic players

Two famous celebrations in real and virtual football will not be found in the upcoming FIFA title due to bad individuals, it was confirmed from Electronic Arts.

One of the ways Electronic Arts is trying to fight toxic players will be to kick out two very popular celebrations of goals from the new FIFA game. This is to prevent procrastination and deliberately challenging opponents so that the player community ultimately has a slightly better match experience. The company confirmed that FIFA 21 will not include the so-called Shush and A-OK celebrations.

Shush is a celebration of goals in which players order the shooter to put his index finger to his mouth during the celebration, telling the opponent to be quiet or silent. Such a reaction after a goal very often annoys another player, so it is somewhat understandable why they decided to remove it. Add to that the goal scored in the last minutes of the match, we believe that someone's controllers did not do well, especially when their opponent celebrates a goal with the mentioned celebration.

As for the A-OK celebration, it is the same one that Dele Alli, a Tottenham player, started in 2018. It soon went viral, primarily because people couldn’t make it right, and EA decided to put it in last year’s edition of FIFA. It is a player who scores with his fingers makes a sign similar to OK and puts "o" on the eye, with the palm of the hand facing outwards.

Such a celebration of the hit is not overly known as toxic, so it can be inferred that the reason for the expulsion is similar to the situation in Call of Duty and Warzone. Namely, in the seventh month of this year, Infinity Ward quietly removed the OK gesture from its game. Although they have not officially spoken out on the matter, it is believed that the popular gesture disappeared from the game due to some connotations with symbols of hatred.

Eurogamer finds out that these celebrations are not the only ones that Electronic Arts has decided to throw out of their upcoming game. They quietly abolished the popular dub and the famous celebration of the appeasement of Cristiano Ronaldo, a Juventus player and the Portuguese national team. It has been confirmed that EA is still working on that segment of the game, so there is a chance that FIFA 21 will be left without a few more celebrations before the official release or maybe get some new ones.

Riot Games won’t update their games for a while, they take a break

The creators of League of Legends and Valorant are taking days off to briefly take a break from this year’s hard work, recharge their batteries and drain their minds ahead of upcoming projects.

All Riot Games workers will take days off, starting next week. The busy year has taken its toll and a decision has been made that will benefit most - if not all. As a result, their update schedule for their games will change significantly.

“This has been a great year for Riot for several reasons. The addition of the letter "s" in Riot Games was our proudest moment, but also a tendency to develop a lot of new games. Add to that COVID-19, work from home and other world events - it was difficult to separate the business world from the private one. As video game publishers, we are aware of how much momentum the schedule for upcoming projects is taking. We owe it to ourselves, and to you, to show that it is important for us to focus on the health of the team so that we can bring you new excitement in the future, ”reads the official statement.

It is known that Riot received harsh criticism at the expense of treating his employees. Due to their way of working, which led to the departure of several workers from the company, an investigation was conducted last year. Internet users have already started with their "conspiracy theories" which say that this decision came into force only to wash away the stain from the name of Riot Games.

Updates in League of Legends, Valorant, Legends of Runeterry and TeamFight Tactics will thus be delayed with arrival on the scheduled platforms. It should be known in the next few days how long the delays of all these updates will be.

Diablo Immortal was a good idea, Activision claims

The success of Call of Duty Mobile served as a cornerstone for Diablo Immortal and now Activision Blizzard is increasingly convinced that the same will happen to the upcoming mobile game from the Diablo series.

When Diablo Immortal was introduced in 2018, fans of the popular series showered Blizzard with negative reactions. Fans were angry because it was decided that this part of Diablo would be done as a mobile game. Blizzard expected such reactions, but not in the amount they received, so even his co-founder had to calm the angry audience.

Activision Blizzard has no intention of changing its strategic approach to mobile video games. On the contrary, CFO Dennis Durkin is happy with the financial success of Call of Duty Mobile, a game that came out in October last year. According to him, this is real proof that Activision is on the right track when it comes to mobile headline development.

"A lot of things will come to cell phones. CoD Mobile got off to a good start, but we’ve just scratched the surface of ideas which franchise can be available on cell phones. We know that this is a good opportunity for new games from our series to be on numerous platforms. Free-to-play games can coexist with another business model, which can be a significant addition to existing franchises. Diablo Immortal was a good idea, thanks to the success of Call of Duty Mobile and will not be the only game to follow in that footsteps, ”he said.

Diablo Immortal is still in the development process. Activision said Blizzard intends to expand internal testing of the said game in the next few weeks. However, there are still no signs of the announcement of the official release of this mobile title.

Updates to the new Avengers game will be temporarily exclusive to PlayStation consoles

Spider-Man won’t be the only accessory exclusive to PlayStation 4 gamers. Crystal Dynamics claims that the favorite superhero is the first in a series of game accessories, the approach of which will be first tasted by users of Sony's current and upcoming consoles.

It increasingly seems that the PlayStation 4 will be the primary platform of Marvel’s Avengers. It was recently announced that Spider-Man will be exclusive on Sony’s consoles, while it won’t be on PC and Xbox. We are expecting its arrival in 2021, and now we have learned that several similar additions to the game will first be presented to players on PlayStation consoles.

In the latest blog post, development studio Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that several more exclusives will arrive on Sony’s platform. When new superheroes are announced, users of the PS4, and later the PS5 console, will get access to them and their capabilities a month before players on other platforms. Certainly the most satisfied can be PlayStation Plus subscribers who will unlock bundles for all current and future superheroes. In addition, Ms. The Marvel package will be available to them upon the release of the game.

Players on the PlayStation 4 will also be the first to gain access to beta testing of Marvel’s Avengers. They will be able to jump into the role of superheroes on August 7 if they pre-order the game. Players on the PC, who have already bought Marvel’s Avengers, enter beta on Aug. 14, while everyone else gets access to open beta testing a week later.

A lot of dust has been raised due to the fact that Spider-Man will be the exclusive superhero for the PlayStation 4. Some feel it’s wrong to distribute game content across platforms, while others argue it’s normal because the upcoming Avengers member is still owned by Sony.

The new Call of Duty will be presented in the "old" Call of Duty

You know how Fortnite was often used as a platform for some big in-game announcements and concerts? Activision now seems to be thinking similarly about its Call of Duty: Warzone.

A few months ago, we learned that the next big Call of Duty game will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but the game has not yet been officially unveiled. This official revelation seems to be coming soon, but not through the usual marketing channels.

Activision proudly announced yesterday that their Call of Duty: Warzone gathers over 75 million players and gave a clear indication that they plan to use this battle royal title as a platform for announcing the next Call of Duty game, ie Black Ops Cold War.

Indeed, Warzone players have already stumbled upon certain carefully planted easter egos on the map of that battle royale that show hints of Cold War elements, such as an old spy plane and locked bunkers. Does this mean that the Warzone map will change completely at the time of the announcement of the new Black Ops title? Does this mean that Warzone will generally be a kind of platform that will change thematically to keep up with the release of new premium Call of Duty games? We don't know anything for sure yet, but all the treasures point to just such a model.

It should be noted that the popular Warzone is currently thematically following the current Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title. Indeed, Modern Warfare and Warzone share the same Battle Pass as well as the same loadouts. Since the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series have never overlapped thematically, it will be interesting to see how Activision approaches the announcement, that is, the integration of the new Black Ops title into the game originally created on the basis of Modern Warfare.

Anyway Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War should come out before the end of this year, and the game’s announcement itself should happen soon.

Still nothing from Baldur’s Gate 3 this month

If you were hoping to play Baldurs Gate 3 this month, Larian Studios has just confirmed that it won't happen, but the release of the early access version of the game is still "around the corner".

RPG fans had hoped Baldur’s Gate 3 would come out in Early Access this month. Larian Studios president Swen Vincke threw oils on that fire when he said in June that they were really trying to make it happen, but that the pandemic that had befallen us all could slow down production.

This obviously happened because now the studio has officially announced via Twitter that the Early Access version of the game will still fail to prepare for release this month. They say, however, that its release is "around the corner", and the final release date and other big news will be revealed on 18.08. on the “Panel from Hell” stream featuring Vincke, host Geoff Keighley and members of Larian’s development team.

Spider-Man joins the Avengers in 2021, but on PC and Xbox - it never will

Just as rumors have suggested, the famous Marvel hero Spider-Man in the upcoming Avengers game will be exclusive to players with PlayStation consoles.

New arguments about exclusivity have started, only this time we are not talking about exclusive games, but about an exclusive character. Yesterday, a rumor surfaced that in the upcoming game Marvel’s Avengers, PlayStation console owners will have the right to exclusive access to an additional character - Spider-Man. It turned out later that this information was true. Spider-Man will indeed find itself in that game in early 2021 through a free update, and only on Sony consoles. Players on PC and Xbox will not be able to play with Spider-Man.

Judging by the previously announced additional character Hawkeye, the additional characters will have their own set of missions, which means that Sony’s exclusivity is not just in one class but in the whole game that will not be available on two platforms. The audience is therefore not the happiest, so you can read mostly negative reactions to this news on the Internet.

As for Spider-Man himself, it will be designed "old-fashioned" in Marvel's Avengers, according to the look from Steve Ditko's drawing. But while his costume design will be old-fashioned, the technologies he will use will be modern and specially tailored for him by Hank Pym, Shield and Stark Industries. Like all other Avengers, Spider-Man will have its own unique upgrade skills, and the Crystal Dynamics development team says they have paid special attention to the fluidity of Spider-Man's movements.

GTA Online will be free to all PS Plus subscribers on the PlayStation 5

Rockstar has confirmed plans for the future of its Grand Theft Auto Online game, which will continue to live on the next generation of consoles.

Grand Theft Auto V has sold 135 million copies so far, meaning the game was purchased by another five million players from April 1st to June 30th. Admittedly, these are not all purchased copies, because of the five million, most of them are Epic Games Store users who could get the game for free.

While these are huge numbers, Rockstar hopes to increase them further in the future. For this purpose, it will separate GTA Online from GTA 5 and this component of the game will be available for purchase separately. As we knew earlier, Rockstar, in agreement with Sony, will allow all PlayStation Plus subscribers on the PS5 console to receive a gift copy of GTA Online for the first three months of the launch of PlayStation 5. As PS Plus is required to play GTA Online, this also means that the same can only be played with an active subscription.

We already knew some of this information in the sixth month, and what is new is the information that the next-gen version of GTA 5 and GTA Online will not come until the second half of 2021. It was also revealed that GTA Online will have exclusive new content on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC platforms. This means that the same thing will happen to GTA Online on older consoles as with the previous versions for PS3 and X360 - Rockstar will no longer support them. They will be able to play, but will not have new missions, vehicles, weapons, etc. For all this you will have to turn to PS5, XSX and PC versions.
