The release of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has been postponed

We will play the eighth big expansion of World of Warcraft in 2020, just not in the tenth month as previously promised by Blizzard.

The team from Blizzard said that the eighth expansion for World of Warcraft, called Shadowlands, needs a little more time "in the oven" than planned. Therefore, the previously announced release date, which was October 27, is no longer valid. The release of the expansion has been postponed - it is not yet known for what date, but it is still planned for 2020.

There are two main "culprits" for this delay. The now well-known excuse is the coronavirus pandemic, or the slow work of Blizzard employees at home. Another reason lies in the fact that Shadowlands needs balancing in the context of endgame activity. But the campaign is complete, the zones have been designed so preparations for the expansion will already begin in the form of a so-called pre-patch that will be distributed to all players from the 13th of this month.
