See what next-gen zombies look like in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

The first details of the Zombies campaign in the new Call of Duty, which will also take place during the 1980s, have been revealed.

The last time Treyarch worked in Zombies mode in Call of Duty, there was everything and everything - from zombies on the Titanic to the legendary horse that shoots lightning. What's next, you ask?

It seems that the zombies in Cold War will calm down a bit as far as such craziness is concerned and will be more closely related to the campaign itself, that is, it will take place in the same time frame of the 80s, without time travel. The first campaign will be called Die Maschine and will take a CIA team called Requiem to explore World War II bunkers. But in addition to the Americans, the same bunker will be explored by the Soviet group Omega.

Just like the rest of the game, Zombies mode will support cross-play and cross-gen multiplayer. All the extras for it will be free, but if you want some cosmetic accessories then you will need to get a Zombies Battle Pass.

One of the bigger novelties with these Zombies will be Exfil, ie the possibility for the team to withdraw if things get too intense. In that case, they can summon a helicopter to pull it off the map before completing the mission. But that will carry a risk as zombies will rush at the players even more intensely as the helicopter approaches them.
