PC requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War have been announced, but are not final

Make sure you can run the upcoming FPS hit Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in the PC platform version.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is coming out next month, but in two weeks the game will be tested on all platforms, including the PC. The game’s creators have therefore released a framework of hardware requirements for the beta test on the PC. Although these are not final requirements, which means that for the full version of the game they can be more or less demanding, major deviations should not be for one very simple reason - these are very similar requirements as for the existing Modern Warfare from 2019.

In minimal requirements, Cold War has jumped in the context of the processor, so now it is looking for a Core i5 instead of a Core i3 (although quite an old i5). The rest is more or less the same, with 45 GB of free disk space only for beta - the full version of the game will be much bulkier. As for the recommended requirements, the amount of memory has jumped, so instead of 12 gigs, 16 GB is recommended.

Here is the COD request: BLOPS CW beta on PC:

Minimum configuration:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K or competing AMD
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2GB / GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon HD 7950
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • HDD: 45 GB

Recommended configuration:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k or AMD equivalent
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB / GTX 1660 Super 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • HDD: 45 GB
