After Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on PC exceeded 225 gigabytes of disk space, the game’s creators decided to listen to fans and separate the SP campaign and multiplayer.
Earlier this month, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare got who knows what already update that boosted the already bulky installation of the game. On the PC, the game has reached 225 gigabytes, which means that it is no longer possible to install it on an SSD with a capacity of 250 gigabytes (the actual size of 232 GB, and some free space needs to be set aside for the update process).
On consoles, the situation is also critical, but there players can at least remove mods they don't need, such as a single-player campaign. On the PC, Modern Warfare is part of one big package, but it seems that Infinity Ward still decided to listen to the fans and from tomorrow on the PC will allow the removal of the single-player campaign, among other things.
So if you play Warzone, you will only be able to leave Warzone. If you play other multiplayer modes - you will be able to leave just that. Therefore, although the game will not be technically any smaller than usual, at least there will be an option to free up disk space by removing certain parts of it.
