Assassin’s Creed Valhalla PC requirements have been posted, you will need an SSD

PC requests for their upcoming game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla have been released from Ubisoft. It is recommended that you install the game on a fast disk.

Ubisoft always does a particularly detailed job when PC gamers need to be told what hardware specifications they are looking for for their games. It is standard custom for games to have a minimum and recommended list of requirements, but Ubisoft goes a few steps further and comes with as many as 6-7 different configurations depending on the settings, target resolution and performance.

So it is with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, a game that doesn’t support raytracing, but is still part of a series known for being extremely demanding primarily because of the Anvil engine that relies heavily on processors. And then there’s the ambition of the games in depicting a detailed world with a bunch of characters.

As AC Valhalla is based on an old mover, the game itself will not be terribly demanding. It will minimally require the oldest and weakest Ryzen processor and the fourth generation i5 processor, and will also be able to play on six-year-old graphics cards.

However, Ubisoft does not specify a configuration that could run the game in 4K resolution and 60 fps at maximum graphics quality settings. That's probably the RTX 3090. What would we do if the game had raytracing effects…

Basically, another curiosity is that SSDs are now everywhere listed under recommended, although not actually mandatory. And yes, the game will now make full use of DirectX 12, meaning it will only be able to run on Windows 10 operating systems, unlike the two-year-old Odyssey which still ran on Windows 7 and 8.

Here are all six configuration requirements:
