Riot Games won’t update their games for a while, they take a break

The creators of League of Legends and Valorant are taking days off to briefly take a break from this year’s hard work, recharge their batteries and drain their minds ahead of upcoming projects.

All Riot Games workers will take days off, starting next week. The busy year has taken its toll and a decision has been made that will benefit most - if not all. As a result, their update schedule for their games will change significantly.

“This has been a great year for Riot for several reasons. The addition of the letter "s" in Riot Games was our proudest moment, but also a tendency to develop a lot of new games. Add to that COVID-19, work from home and other world events - it was difficult to separate the business world from the private one. As video game publishers, we are aware of how much momentum the schedule for upcoming projects is taking. We owe it to ourselves, and to you, to show that it is important for us to focus on the health of the team so that we can bring you new excitement in the future, ”reads the official statement.

It is known that Riot received harsh criticism at the expense of treating his employees. Due to their way of working, which led to the departure of several workers from the company, an investigation was conducted last year. Internet users have already started with their "conspiracy theories" which say that this decision came into force only to wash away the stain from the name of Riot Games.

Updates in League of Legends, Valorant, Legends of Runeterry and TeamFight Tactics will thus be delayed with arrival on the scheduled platforms. It should be known in the next few days how long the delays of all these updates will be.
