The countdown has begun until the announcement of the new Need for Speed. Which could be some old Need for Speed in a new guise.
Yesterday, the official Need for Speed profile on Twitter launched a campaign announcing the announcement of a new game. The pictures from the NFS Heat highlighted the number 510 and then it turned out that the countdown started on the official website of Electronic Arts until the date of October 5, when the announcement of the new NFS was apparently scheduled.
With the proviso that it will probably not be a new Need for Speed but a remaster of an older one. It is already widely rumored that the remaster will receive the 2010 NFS Hot Pursuit, which is a kind of remake of the 1998 NFS 3: Hot Pursuit game, so this announcement is to be expected. 5-10 is also the police code for vehicles that exceed the allowed speed, so it makes sense to use it like this in the announcement of the remaster, where the focus is on speed and the police.
According to unofficial information, the Hot Pursuit remaster is being developed by the same team that made Burnout Paradise Remastered. The game is in development for PS4, XBO and Nintendo Switch, and possibly for PC. It should come out on November 13 this year.
