The biggest competition in Call of Duty games will no longer be played on PlayStation consoles but in the PC version. But with a controller.
The Call of Duty series of games is mostly and most often played on consoles. This may sound strange to some because first-person shooters are most comfortable to play on a PC with a mouse and keyboard, but the fact is that there is a majority of CoD community members on the consoles. It is for this reason that the publishing house Activision has chosen the PlayStation 4 as the platform on which all matches will be played for the official Call of Duty League, the biggest esports event for CoD, in its first season. And before that, esports events at CoD were almost always played on consoles.
However, that will change this year as it has been announced that Call of Duty League will be played on the PC platform for the first time next season. But the change will only be partial because competitors will not be allowed to play with the mouse and keyboard but will still have to use the controller. And not just any controller, but only one that is officially approved by the organizers.
Of course, this scenario was also logical. On the one hand, it would not be fair for players with a mouse and keyboard to play against players with controllers, and on the other hand, it would not be reasonable to expect professional players, who have played CoD on controllers for the last decade, to play the game equally well on keyboard and mouse.
