Isn’t there a graphics card that could spin Crysis Remastered in 4K30 at maximum detail?

Crysis Remastered is officially available as of today, and its maximum graphics setting is there to bother even the most capable hardware of today.

Which PC game is the most hardware demanding in 2020? Sure Microsoft Flight Simulator, right? Wrong - the answer is Crysis Remastered, a remaster of a 13 year old PC exclusive. Namely, the creator of the game's development leader, Steffen Halbig, told PC Gamer that there is currently no graphics card in the world that can chew Crysis Remastered in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second on the maximum graphics setting called "Can it run Crysis".

Sure, it’s all a marketing ploy, isn’t it? Because how is it possible for an old game remaster to be the most demanding PC game of today? This is probably some kind of deliberate slowdown sponsored by Nvidia that PC players cure their complexes by buying a card more expensive than a thousand euros…

I honestly don't understand the technical part of Crysis Remaster - we will wait for the Digital Foundry team to bring their analysis. However, the fact is that Crysis Remastered targets the floor with the most powerful configurations of today. With the RTX 2080Ti card and Core i9-9900 processor at 144op resolution, the framerate goes down to 30 fps.

Linus played the game before the official release, so at 4K resolution at High settings on the Titan RTX card he got about 40-50 frames per second. By switching to the “Can it run Crysis” setting, the framerate was halved to 22 fps. Slightly better is the new RTX 3080, which reaches 32 fps at 4K resolution and maximum settings.

So, the statement that there is no card that can spin Crysis Remastered in 4K30 has already been refuted. But maybe they meant 60? In any case, it is worth noting that Linus' performances were extracted while shooting the gameplay itself, and for the RTX 3080 series, no optimized drivers have been launched yet. In addition, Crysis Remastered did not have support for the DLSS technique at the time of recording. So the situation isn't as awful as it may seem at first - but if it's exaggerated, it probably is.
