Fortnite: Save the World will no longer work on the Mac platform

A new development in the dispute between Epic Games and Apple has resulted in players on the Mac platform being left without access to the game they paid for.

The dispute between Epic Games and Apple over disobedience and the inability to make money without paying Apple's commission is now reflected to the detriment of users. Fortnite has not been able to play normally on the iOS platform for some time, but it is essentially a free game so players are not financially damaged because of it. But now, due to a quarrel between the two companies, the players who paid for the game have lost the ability to play Fortnite: Save the World component on the Mac platform.

Namely, Apple banned Epic from distributing updates for the game on Mac, so Epic decided to shut down servers for Mac players from September 23 this year. Fortunately for the users affected by this decision, Epic Games has promised to return the money spent on the game itself and microtransactions to everyone who has played it on Mac since September 17 last year. The refund will take until October 2.

Epic Games has told everyone affected by this to move to a non-Apple platform, where they can buy Fortnite: Save the World again. The good news for them is that in the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, they will be able to continue where they left off on the Mac, or automatically transfer all the progress made to another platform.
