It's over - we know the end of The Walking Dead

One of the longest-running series about postapocalypse and zombies will finally come to an end after great torment and controversial situations.

The Walking Dead series began airing back in 2010. In these less than 10 seasons, it went through ups and downs, but it always held on tight, despite the fact that the last seasons had slightly lower ratings. Meanwhile, the TWD world has expanded with the series Fear The Walking Dead, and another one is on the schedule - The Walking Dead: World Beyond - and a trilogy of films about Rick Grimes.

The finale of the 10th season of the popular Living Dead has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it was recently confirmed that the same will be shown on October 4 in the US, while the rest of the world should watch a day later. However, this "finale" of the season will be extended with six more episodes, since the 11th season did not even start filming. AMC, a well-known television company, has announced that TWD is coming to an end in 2022.

The final season will have 10 additional episodes, which would ultimately amount to 24 episodes that will complete the story that has kept fans in front of screens for years. To keep fans from being deprived of content from The Walking Dead universe, Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) will have their own spin-off series in 2023. Not only that, Scott Gimple, one of the main people in the entire television world of the Living Dead, said they plan to shoot a fourth spin-off series, called Tales of The Walking Dead, which through episodes, or several, will try to explain the lives of famous and new characters.

AMC and their TWD producers have always said they have material for the next 10 years of showing. Apparently they weren’t kidding because after these 30 remaining episodes of the main series, there will still be Fear The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, the Rick Grimes movie trilogy, an unnamed series about Daryl and Carol and Tales of The Walking Dead. Enough for the next two generations of zombie lovers. Of course, if they don’t cancel in the meantime!
