Half-Life: Alyx is launching this weekend

Valve has released additional details about the launch of the much-anticipated VR game Half-Life: Alyx, which is due out next Monday.

We already know that Half-Life: Alyx is coming out on Monday, March 23, but now the biggest fans of this SF series have been announced.

It has also been announced that the game will be downloadable before that date. It is not yet known how much the game will weigh, but to assume that it will not be just a few gigabytes but closer to a three-digit number.

Call of Duty: Warzone now has a true Solos gameplay mode

A week after launch, Call of Duty: Warzone was given the option of playing off-team, which will cheer those who have no one to play with.

One of the most common complaints about CoD: Warzone in the first week was that it did not support solo playing. More specifically, it was possible to play battle royale format matches without other players in the team, but the format was such that solo players would have to fight other players who played in teams of two, three or four in that case.

Now that has come to a solution. A new update for the game has introduced the option of true Solos mode. The rules of the game in Solos mode remain the same - you still go to Gulag on the first elimination, with the exception that no one else can revive you. Not even the enemy. However, you can still use self-recovery equipment.

The player limit remains the same for Solos mode - a total of 150 players per match. That number could increase in the near future to a total of 200 players.

In regular sales it costs ten euros, and on this occasion it can be purchased free of charge until the end of the month, ie by 31 March.

The Hello Games development team has released a new trailer for its next game, called The Last Campfire, which will be released later in 2020.

Just over a year ago, the Hello Games team announced their first game after No Man's Sky. The Last Campfire was presented as a puzzle adventure of a sympathetic aesthetic, and now we have found out a little more detail about it and got another pinch.

The Last Campfire will tell us the story of a lost embers traveling through mysterious rubble to light a back fire at a campsite. Along the way, they will meet some interesting characters and solve various puzzles, and with their touch they will be able to revive some who are gone.

The game is now confirmed for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and is set to release in the summer of 2020.

You are probably wondering why this above image, which has nothing to do with ancient Greece, but ties in with the legendary Ezio and his Roman adventures. Well, it does matter because everyone who plays Assassin's Creed Odyssey in the aforementioned period will be able to get a new "Roman Set" that includes Ezia Auditore's costume and the Milan Sword. This set of equipment otherwise has an automatic Heroic Strike cooldown cancellation in the event of a successful counter-attack.

One billion devices now use Windows 10

Microsoft finally succeeded in achieving the goal it set for Windows 10. Two years later.

Windows 10 has been the ruler of the market for several years. But it was only the forced retirement of Windows 7 support that helped the Microsoft team achieve the result they had set out back in 2015 upon launching this system.

Then they said that the OS would be installed on one billion devices worldwide in some two to three years. It has been downplayed by the mobile version fiasco, but now it's official - with a 20-month delay, Windows 10 is now installed on more than a billion devices.

This applies to different types of devices, from PCs, Xbox consoles, augmented reality devices and VR, and Surface tablets. The latest release of the operating system is called Windows 10X and is designed to work on computers with two separate screens.

While some have objections to specific segments of the Microsoft platform, it is clear that Windows 10 will continue to be the dominant gaming platform on PC in the future. Microsoft's idea was to create a system that would be upgraded for years without having to develop Windows 11, and looking back over the last five years, they have been constantly changing and upgrading the system in various aspects, including for players. Game Boost mode, HDR support were added, the Xbox app changed several times, and raytracing support was added as part of the DirectX 12 API.

Fights in Tight Spaces is a fight with the moves, it plays like a card game

An interesting idea comes from the creators of the Frozen Synapce series. It's all about the name - Fights in Tight Spaces.

Integrating card elements is gaining popularity in various video game genres. With that started in Hand of Fate and continued in Slay the Spire and Griftlands. Another game will bring a fight using cards, and it's called Fights in Tight Spaces.

It comes from the team responsible for the Frozen Synapse series, and puts us in the role of the Section Eleven agent. It must protect businesses from criminal organizations operating outside of electronic communication, and the method is most often one - punching.

Just as the name of the game suggests, we will fight in tight spaces, on moves. Expect a good dose of tactic as some enemies will be armed with long range weapons, and occasionally we will have to protect VIPs.

So, a chess game, when chess pieces would be banging each other's heads. All attacks and moves will be accompanied by 150 cards at our disposal. Here's what it will all look like:

Fights in Tight Spaces arrives on Steam during 2020.

People in isolation do not know what else to do, so they play Football Manager 2020

It is no great surprise that another game on Steam has broken its previous record by the number of active players.

We have witnessed numerous delays and cancellations of sporting events due to the coronavirus pandemic. So many football games are not played, championships, the Champions League and the European League are paused. The upcoming European Championship is also being questioned. To break the monotony of home, many people throw themselves into managerial waters.

Last weekend, Football Manager 2020 set a new record of its own on the number of active players on Steam. On Sunday, Sega's game was played by 89,568 users at one time. Although this number is twice lower at the time of writing, it is worth noting that in the last 24 hours the FM2020 numbered just over 83,000 people.

Coronavirus holds almost the entire world in a pinch. Productions of films and series are being delayed, and their premiere is canceled and numerous conventions in the video game industry have been canceled. However, everyone is self-sufficient in their own way, so we have witnessed many statistical records in the last month. From Steam, through Counter Strike: Global Offensive to Rainbow Six Siege and Ark: Survival Evolved - they all experienced, so-called, success during these difficult times.

Otherwise, it will be interesting to see if FM 2021 has any scenarios for a pandemic. It wouldn't be that bizarre either - the game simulated Brexit for three years before the UK officially exited the European Union.
