Empyrean expansion can also be called Grand Theft Spaceship, because in addition to space battles, it brings to Warframe the ability to steal opposing spaceships.
As a free-to-play game, Warframe continues to embarrass much more expensive competition in terms of content. The latest significant piece of content from the name Empyrean takes the whole thing to a whole new level. After even two open worlds from past expansions, Empyrean focuses on space battles in battleships called Railjack.
Although it is manageable and self-driving, Railjack is best experienced in a four-person team. Each player can control a particular part of the ship, and it is possible to leave the same with the help of Archwing and board an enemy ship and steal or sabotage it from within. Empyrean also brings new mods, a new progression system, and of course a whole bunch of new weapons and cosmetics.
The good news is that Digial Extremes plans to make Railjack more accessible to players who like to play on their own next year. Console players are currently receiving a Rising Tide update that will prepare them for the Empyrean expansion, which they will be able to play over the next year.
