New update arrives - PUBG just got bloody

PUBG got a fresh layer of Christmas color in the lobby through a new update, and in the matches themselves it got even more bloody. Here's what's new in the update behind 5.3.

PUBG has just received a new update for live servers on PC, and behind the number 5.3 is hiding a new bleeding system. What does that mean? In short, it's about the new effects of showing blood when you shoot someone or when someone shoots you. First of all, you will now see a separate and specific effect when you hit someone in the head or neck, different from when the shot ends up in the opponent's body.

This is of course good because it will make it clearer that you have just hit your head. On the other hand, blood will be visible on your character's 3D model exactly where you were previously hit, which can also tell your opponent that you are not in the best health condition.

Another benefit of the new bleeding system will be the display of blood on the walls and floors near which one is affected. The blood will now literally stick to such surfaces, adding a little to the atmosphere, but also revealing to curious players that a particular location was shot.

This update brings some more updates to the game, and you can check them all out here.

Among other things, it brings a convenient Christmas theme to the lobby to take your wallets off with a holiday mood.

This update is not yet available on consoles, but they say it's coming soon.
