Take a look at the gameplay Half-Life: Alyx - there are swinging, bending and finger exercises

Valve has the difficult task of designing a single game for multiple VR headsets. Here's how to handle this task.

Since the new Half-Life game, we have only seen one impressive trailer so far. However, few journalists these days had the opportunity to visit the offices of Valve where they could witness the process of preparing the game for different types of VR headsets. On this occasion, we also got the first concrete insight into gameplay, which involves only movement (both via teleport and automation), case management, shooting and the ammunition loading process.

The demo video goes into detail and lasts for half an hour, but you can also see the "leaps" to see what kind of mechanics will be used in the game, how much precision the player will require and what moves we will take to win the battle against enemies in the world half-Life. You can also see some of the trade-offs that certain VR devices will need to agree to. Not all VR devices have the same capabilities, and it's difficult to design a game across a range of different platforms, but it seems like Valve has done a solid job of customizing the game for different devices.
