NEW GAMES: We're becoming a Jedi this week and putting on a Pokémon Masters cap

It's a big week for two huge franchises - Star Wars and Pokemon, as they both get highly anticipated games.

BLACKSAD: UNDER THE SKIN

11/14/2019 PC, PS4, XBO, Switch

Remember the former hit Runaway adventure? Its creators return with an adaptation of the Spanish comic book Blacksad. In the game, we follow the title character in the 1950s in New York, a detective who must solve a suspected murder case. Blacksad: Under the Skin should be a mix of detective games like L.A. Noire and The Wolf Among Us, and will guide players through QTE sequences and choice to one of six possible story endings.

AGE OF EMPIRES II: A DEFINITIVE EDITION

November 14, 2019. PC

History is not the funniest subject in school, but Age of Empires II is therefore one of the funniest historical games you can play. The definitive edition of this 20 year old strategy promises a nicer presentation with new animations, improved opponent intelligence, and an additional campaign with civilizations like the Bulgarians and Tatars. A more advanced game awaits us, but in fact we are most pleased that it is still a good old Age of Empires in which logic is not historically based as fact.

POKÉMON SWORD / POKÉMON SHIELD

11/15/2019 Switch

Pokemon Sword & Shield will introduce us to the eighth generation of Pokemon and a brand new region called Galar. There, they will be able to wage combat in Dynamax and Gigantmax forms that increase Pokemon size to Godzilla size, which means that Pokemon halls that have disappeared in previous games are also returning. Unfortunately, this will be the first Pokemon game where you won't be able to catch them all, but there will be more Pokemon in the game anyway than you can list.

STAR WARS EAT: FALLEN ORDER

11/15/2019 PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One

We haven't had a fair single-player game in the Star Wars world for nine years, and that's too long and the Force is already strong enough to change that. Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order comes to our hands from the experienced Respawn Entertainment team, and it finally brings us back to the Jedi role. More specifically, we will play with young Padawan Cal Kestis escaping in front of Vader's hunters, and in this adventure we will visit several planets and see some famous characters from the Star Wars universe.

Most looking forward to the game being metroidvania style, much like the last God of War. That tells us it won't be short-lived, and it won't be as linear as some of the previous Star Wars games.

Other games coming out:

12. 11. Rune II (PC)
14. 11. Bee Simulator (PC, PS4, XBO, Switch)
15. 11. Astroneer (PS4, XBO)
15. 11. Golem (PS VR)
15. 11. Sparklite (PC, PS4, Switch)
15. 11. Terminator: Resistance (PC)
