Spider-Man will reportedly join the Avengers game, but only on the PlayStation

According to one store, Marvel’s Avengers owners for the PlayStation 4 and 5 will have a special advantage over others.

The British online store Base.com stirred the spirits with the announcement for the game Marvel’s Avengers, which states that the character of Spider-Man will be exclusive for the owners of the PlayStation 4 version. This information was later withdrawn, and neither Sony Interactive Entertainment nor Square Enix have yet announced it. But chances are high that it is true.

Namely, Sony and Square Enix have a marketing agreement for Marvel’s Avengers. For players on PlayStation platforms, this will guarantee some benefits, among which are for now the priority approach to beta testing, ie a longer period of trying out the game. Sony, on the other hand, has a separate deal with Spider-Man with Marvel, which is why Marvel’s excellent 2018 Spider-Man game has yet to end up on platforms other than the PlayStation 4.

In case this rumor is true, Spider-Man will be one of the additional characters in Marvel’s Avengers who will later join the Avengers lineup. Upon release, only Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow and Kamala Khan will be among the playable. They will later be joined by Hawkeye and three other characters.
