Doom Slayer has made quite a mess in the rest of the Doom universe by saving Earth and now is the time to fix it the way he knows best.
The therapeutic experience called Doom Eternal soon becomes even greater. Namely, Bethesda announced the release of an expansion for Doom Eternal at this year's QuakeCon, full title Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part One.
While saving the country from a demon invasion for Doom Slayer is another typical Wednesday, his bloodthirsty campaign did not go unnoticed. His meddling in the cosmic order forced the true ruler of the Doom universe to recruit him in hopes of repairing the damage he had done. This of course involves killing hordes of demons who have taken over the high-tech world of the angelic Maykr faction.
The teaser trailer shown doesn’t reveal much about the changes in the gameplay itself. Only a few new locations, enemies, but also a bunch of recognizable Doom violence are visible. The full revelation of the expansion awaits us at this year’s Gamescom, at the end of August.
