The expected trend has emerged on eBay - people are selling their iPhones with Fortnite installed for high amounts. And that doesn't make much sense.
For a full week, Fortnite no longer gets new players on the iOS platform because it can no longer be downloaded to the iPhone. The reason, of course, is the rebellion of the creators of that game against Apple's 30% commission on every transaction within the game. The situation is similar on the Android platform, but there the game can be downloaded outside of Google's Play Store, while on iOS users can only tap until the lawsuit between Epic and Apple is resolved.
Some have decided to take advantage of this situation by selling iPhones with Fortnite installed on eBay. Of course, they sell them at insanely high prices, not only because they are used phones, but the prices are ridiculous in themselves - some even exceed ten thousand pounds.
This is not the first time we have seen such a practice. It was similar when the famous Flappy Bird was removed from distribution. But this with Fortnite only makes sense in part. Namely, although the game is currently playable on iPhones that have it installed, Fortnite will remain in a vacuum on iOS until further notice and will not receive any new content, fixes or upgrades. Therefore, those who buy such expensive iPhones to have Fortnite on them will not be very happy.
