Although the grand unveiling of the new Call of Duty is expected on Monday, Activision is already throwing teasers around. One appeared inside Call of Duty: Warzone, and was caught and posted on Twitter by a player with the nickname NutterButterAF.
When Warzone was playing this Friday, NutterButterAF noticed in the middle of the match that the screen was behaving strangely. Some interference appeared in the middle of the screen along with a very briefly visible message. Fortunately, he recorded the whole thing, so by slowing down the recording, the message "Know Your History" can be clearly read. After that, the words "obrečenyna ee povtorenie" were noticed, which is an inscription in Russian which means "Doomed to repeat". It is obvious that Activision is trying to connect these teasers with the time of the new Call of Duty, which should deal with the topic of the Cold War, and at the center of which was, of course, Russia, ie the Soviet Union.
If you haven't followed, the new Call of Duty should be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and in our experience and some logic it should be promoted as the first "next-gen" Call of Duty title as it should come out for new consoles arriving later this year, as well as for the current ones. We should hear and see more about all of this on Monday.
