The first begging for Doom Eternal awakens an ancient evil in the 10th month

The first expansion as part of the Season Pass for Doom Eternal arrives in the tenth month, and confronts players with new types of fierce demons.

Doom Slayer will have to put on his boots and gloves again as he gets a new assignment on October 20th this year. In an already announced expansion called The Ancient Gods: Part One, he will fight an ancient evil that has awakened due to a disturbed balance caused by a collage in the main campaign. In particular, Slayer will face fierce new opponents some of whom you can see in the trailer pulled out of Bethesda’s hell last night.

The Ancient Gods expansion will be launched in several parts and available to anyone who has a Season Pass to play. Those who do not have Doom Eternal, Ancient Gods will be able to buy as a separate game at a price of 20 euros. In addition to the single-player component, The Ancient Gods will have a standalone edition of Battlemode - a 2v1 multiplayer component.

Star Wars: Squadrons will put us in the roles of warring pilots

Electronic Arts has released another clip from the single-player campaign of the upcoming Star Wars: Squadrons game, with examples of missions we will perform in the full version.

And Ewoki on Endor already know that the new pilot Star Wars game looks great from a technical standpoint. But the development studio EA Motive has shown in its new presentation of the game that it is also skilled in presentation aesthetics. Sure, it’s a less important thing, but it’s good to know because the single-player campaign will make up the bulk of this game, so the visual presentation of the story is also important.

In yesterday's gameplay video, we were shown a mission in which the pilot of the Empire follows the spacecraft and infiltrates the base of the Republic. It is an example of just one of the missions we will play with pilots of both sides, pilots whose rivalry is an added fuel to the fire of the existing conflict.

Star Wars: Squadrons will be played as early as October 2 this year on PC and consoles, with optional support for VR devices.

Rainbow Six Siege can again be played for free

The traditional gaming weekend is back again in which Ubisoft offers players to try out their famous title for free before the arrival of the new season.

Rainbow Six Siege will receive an update next week, which will bring a new season into play. Famous face Sam Fisher arrives in the game, who joins the Rainbow team in the fight against injustice. However, before that, all players will get a chance to play the popular French company title.

For the umpteenth time, Rainbow Six Siege will have a free weekend of play. Ubisoft's policy is to win over new players before the release of each upcoming season, and it has proven to be very successful because over 60 million people have played the game so far. The free weekend of play started on August 27 and will end on September 4 at 10:00 p.m.

During this period, Ubisoft's game will be at a discount of up to 70%, depending on the platform on which it is located. For example, the regular edition of Rainbow Six Siege on Steam can be purchased for just eight, while the Ultimate Edition is set at 38 euros. The promotional prices will last until September 10, so the time to choose to buy the game is more than enough.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has been released

World of Warcraft will continue its "eternal life" with the expansion of Shadowlands, which is scheduled for the end of October 2020.

Somehow I doubt that at this contagious time of the COVID 19 pandemic, any midnight sales of the new expansion of World of Warcraft will be organized, but if they are, it will be on Tuesday, October 27, Blizzard told us. Then comes the eighth consecutive expansion for the temporary WoW, called Shadowlands. Exclusively for the PC platform, although there were rumors that it could be available on consoles as well.

The expansion takes players to Azeroth's version of hell to "fix death." As usual, the expansion brings new dungeons and raids, raises the maximum level and, among other things, beautifies the game by introducing raytracing effects.

The price of the expansion is 40 euros (this is without the necessary subscription), but if you want some benefits, such as a 30-day subscription, boost to level 120, etc., then there are also Heroic versions for 55 euros and Epic Edition for 75 euros.

Marvel’s Avengers will ask you to download an 18 gigabyte update before playing

Buyers of a physical copy of Marvel’s Avengers will have to undergo a robust 18-gigabyte patch before playing.

The upcoming Marvel’s Avengers will be one of the bigger games - at least as far as installation goes. It is mentioned that the game will weigh about 90 gigabytes, which is not at the level of a Call of Duty, but is still at the very top in terms of disk space. This means that approximately as much will have to be downloaded from the internet if a digital version of the game is purchased. However, the owners of the physical copy will not be spared from the removal.

Namely, it was announced that Marvel’s Avengers will receive an update on the first day that will weigh around 18 GB. An update will be required to run the game, regardless of whether you plan to play it alone or in online multiplayer.

While the good news is that some updates to player feedback based on beta testing will be found as part of this update, there seems to be the most localization files in those 18 gigabytes. Namely, the game supports 15 different languages and that part takes up a lot of space. The developers, on the other hand, blame the situation with the coronavirus because, due to work from home, they did not manage to insert all the updates they planned to implement before launch.

Nexus War is a new season at Fortnite, bringing a bunch of Marvel characters

The fourth season of the second chapter of Fortnite will be superhero-themed - again. A Marvel universe arrives on the island with a bunch of famous characters.

In the midst of the court dispute between Epic Games and Apple, the fourth season of Fortnite, ie the second chapter, was launched. As some rumors have previously suggested, the season will be marked by Marvel characters including famous heroes and some villains. The season will be called Nexus War.

Among the confirmed characters for now are Iron Man, Thor, Wolverine, Groot, She-Hulk, Mystique, Storm and Doctor Doom. The same came into the world of Fortnite to help the characters from Fortnite prevent the arrival of Galactus, the great villain who devours the worlds.

Of course, with the new season comes the new Battle Pass, whose main trump card is that it will allow customers to unlock superhero costumes so they can run around and say “I’m Iron Man!”

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been officially unveiled

We also welcomed that day - the next Call of Duty was announced, after almost all the details of that game had been leaked.

Call of Duty Warzone served as the stage for the first such discovery of a new part in the CoD series. A two-minute trailer with footage from the PlayStation 5 version was shown. The trailer took us through Vietnam and the streets of Berlin, and these are of course the locations we will visit in the single-player campaign.

We’ve also seen the traditional explosions and collisions of the CoD franchise - nothing without it, and we have to admit they look dangerously good. As well as character models that are frighteningly detailed.

The story begins in 1981 and spans the entire decade of the 1980s. We follow Hudson, Woods and Mason again on a mission to find the mysterious Soviet agent Perseus. But the interesting thing is that all the mentioned characters will actually be helpers, and the game starts by making our own character for the first time in the CoD series, choosing his appearance and gender. There is also the option of playing with a gender neutral or indeterminate character.

But the interesting thing is that all the mentioned characters will actually be helpers, and the game starts by making our own character for the first time in the CoD series, choosing his appearance and gender. There is also the option of playing with a gender neutral or indeterminate character.

The characters will also have different characteristics that will be reflected in the gameplay itself. For example, if their psychological profile is a paranoid person, it means they can target them much faster, and if the character is a lone wolf then they can sprint twice as long.

The gameplay itself also promises a higher level of freedom. There will be optional missions, and a system of dialogue will be integrated in which we can choose what the characters will say. Some missions will also have Hitman's style of gameplay, without direct shooting we will be given the task of poisoning the opponent, stealing things and the like.

They have revealed practically nothing about multiplayer to us except that it will be. This information is kept for September 9. It has only been confirmed that an open beta test will be held before the release, first on the PlayStation 4 and then on other platforms.

The zombies have also been confirmed, but we’ll only hear about them later. For now, it has only been said that it will be the first zombies with a cross-play option on all platforms.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be released on November 13 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. Versions for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will be released on the first day when those consoles are released, and the date of that is not yet known. The standard edition of the game will cost 60 euros, if you want to upgrade to the next-gen version you will pay 70 euros.

Dota 2 once again broke its own record for the largest esports prize pool

While the TI 10 still doesn’t have a date to be held nor is it known if it will be held at all this year, that hasn’t stopped the community from raising over $ 34.33 million.

Although we were supposed to witness the 10th International this month, due to the COVID-19 situation things have changed so one of the biggest esports events has not been held nor is it known if it will be held at all this year. Despite the tournament being canceled even before this year’s Battle Pass came out, it didn’t stop the Dota 2 community from once again surpassing last year’s prize pool which was a whopping $ 34,330,068.

With the standard 1.6 million that Valve sets aside right at the start, the current prize pool is $ 34,363,103 million. Admittedly, it should be taken into account that the finals would be held last week and thus the possibility of increasing the prize fund would stop raising funds, but still it is again a significant amount of money that is collected even though there is no tournament.

This year's Battle Pass lasts until September 19, but not all prizes have been delivered yet, so it is possible that the fund will reach 35+ million.

Details of the story from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War have been leaked

A description of the first trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has emerged from which we learn that the game will be a direct sequel to the original Black Ops.

Today we will see the premiere of the new Call of Duty, but we have already learned some tricky details from the description of the game itself, which was dug from the official, as yet unpublished trailer. The big revelation is that Black Ops Cold War will take place between the first and second Black Ops. It was not difficult to conclude, but it was confirmed that it would be a direct sequel. So something like Black Ops 1.5.

The story of the game will be set in the 1980s. He will follow the “iconic” characters of Black Ops, namely Woods, Mason and Hudson. But there will also be some new faces fighting to thwart the conspiracy planned for decades. In the campaign, we will look for the mysterious Perseus who wants to destabilize the balance of power between the US and the Soviets and change the course of history. We will visit East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey and the KGB base, among other locations.

The description of the campaign mentions the multiplayer component and zombies. Reportedly, the appearance of zombies should also be reflected in CoD: Warzone. Tomorrow we will probably have the unveiling of the single-player campaign, while we should see multiplayer on September 9th.

As a potential release date of the game Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is mentioned on November 13 this year. Confirmation or denial of this information is still pending.

The first image for the new Call of Duty is unusually colorful

The first promotional image from the upcoming game Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is definitely not what we had hoped for. Is this a hint that we can expect the same surprises from the game?

What you see above is the first promotional image from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. I mean, it's literally written on it - it's not that you can miss. But if it hadn't been written, would you have thought it was Call of Duty at all? It can be seen that this is a game with soldiers, but it is unusual to see all this propaganda variegation.

The covers and materials of Call of Duty games are usually quite gloomy. Black Ops has a bright yellow / orange color in contrast to black, Modern Warfare once had a bright green… but nothing is really even close to this variegation which is unusual to see.

Of course, this does not necessarily mean that the game itself will be colorful - it is just one promotional material. However, such images usually hint at the direction and style chosen by the game developers, so it seems that the Cold War may be presented here through the cultural aspect of propaganda materials, not just the military one. But again - we are talking about Call of Duty, of course we should not expect much in this regard.

In any case, the unveiling of the game is scheduled for August 26.

People sell iPhones with Fortnite installed for crazy money

The expected trend has emerged on eBay - people are selling their iPhones with Fortnite installed for high amounts. And that doesn't make much sense.

For a full week, Fortnite no longer gets new players on the iOS platform because it can no longer be downloaded to the iPhone. The reason, of course, is the rebellion of the creators of that game against Apple's 30% commission on every transaction within the game. The situation is similar on the Android platform, but there the game can be downloaded outside of Google's Play Store, while on iOS users can only tap until the lawsuit between Epic and Apple is resolved.

Some have decided to take advantage of this situation by selling iPhones with Fortnite installed on eBay. Of course, they sell them at insanely high prices, not only because they are used phones, but the prices are ridiculous in themselves - some even exceed ten thousand pounds.

This is not the first time we have seen such a practice. It was similar when the famous Flappy Bird was removed from distribution. But this with Fortnite only makes sense in part. Namely, although the game is currently playable on iPhones that have it installed, Fortnite will remain in a vacuum on iOS until further notice and will not receive any new content, fixes or upgrades. Therefore, those who buy such expensive iPhones to have Fortnite on them will not be very happy.

Epic Games fears that Apple will destroy their Unreal Engine

Epic Games claims that the consequences of Apple's policy towards Fortnite will be felt by other manufacturers who develop mobile games on Unreal Engine.

Fortnite has been removed from Apple's App Store and with this move, iOS users themselves are at a loss because the future of that game on that platform is uncertain. But, as they are suing the court from Epic Games, the whole situation is uncertain with all the games for iOS and Mac that use Epic's Unreal Engine. And there are a lot of them.

Namely, according to Epic, Apple will deny them access to development tools for iOS and Mac operating systems on the 28th of this month. For now, there would be no consequences, but as soon as these systems undergo a slightly larger upgrade, there is a fear that Unreal Engine will no longer be compatible with these systems. And therefore not a bunch of games for Apple devices.

In Epic Games, they say that Apple is taking revenge on them, which will indirectly force developers not to use Unreal Engine, but some other driver. This is an additional argument in the lawsuit that the Apple team is behaving oppressively, and they are certainly trying to attract developers who use Unreal Engine in their games.

For now, it is unlikely that this multi-billion dollar dispute between the two companies will be resolved in the near future.

Hitman is shutting down multiplayer servers, but there will be new modes as well

IO Interactive has revealed what awaits us in Hitman 3 in terms of game modes. At the same time, the shutdown of Hitman's multiplayer was announced.

Hitman 2 has for the first time introduced competitive multiplayer in the Hitman series through so-called Ghost Mode. In the same, two players could compete in eliminating targets and sabotage each other's work. The mod was innovative, but it doesn't seem to have met with much interest from players. It has therefore been announced that the servers for Ghost Mode will be shut down on the 31st of this month. This means that Ghost Mode will not be in Hitman 3 either.

Fortunately, all other mods are still in the plans for Hitman 3. In addition to the main campaign, the Elusive Targets mode will return, with some novelties that we will learn more about later in the year. There will also be an Escalations mode with additional weight settings, such as restrictions on disguise, etc. The Contracts mode will still be the same, with its own set of rules and tasks that can be shared among players and scored on the top ladder.

Finally, Sniper Assassin mode will be played again, but only in single-player mode. Servers for cooperative gaming of the same mode in Hitman 2 will be shut down before the release of Hitman 3.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends brings cooperative samurai this fall

Samurai adventures on Tsushima will continue this fall with the possibility of cooperative playing for two or four samurai while Jin Sakai will take a well-deserved vacation.

Like Jin Sakai when he surprises his opponent from an ambush, so we received the announcement for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends - a free upgrade that will expand this samurai hit with cooperative multiplayer. When exactly? Nothing is known more precisely than the information that it should be sometime during the fall.

Legends will thus retire Jin and present four legendary samurai who will differ by class: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin and Assassin. Cooperative play will be for two or four players with the emphasis on fighting and action instead of exploring the open world.

The two legends will be able to go through a series of cooperative missions together with an action, each of which will be more difficult, and will be based on the fights from the singleplayer campaign with the addition of a touch of magic. On the other hand, the four legends will have to survive together waves of opponents, including supernatural enemies called Oni.

Also, after the upgrade comes out, raids are planned that will take the players into a whole new environment so that the new ones can challenge brutal and terrifying enemies. It should also be noted that playing Legends will require a PS Plus with the fact that we have to be patient for more details about the classes and other content that come a little later.

No joke, Fortnite will be available for PS5 and XSX for 30 euros

Fortnite will get another physical release called Fortnite: The Last Laugh Bundle, this time for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles.

Objectively speaking, it makes no sense to own Fortnite on an optical disc, i.e. in a box. It’s a game that is upgraded every now and then and what’s on disk can’t work anyway without downloading updates from the internet. The only value of a physical release is that it stands prominently on a shelf. A single edition could serve this purpose as well. But Fortnite has several and will have another by the end of the year.

After the Deep Freeze release, the following will be called Fortnite: The Last Laugh Bundle and will have characters from the DC universe on the cover: the Joker and Poison Ivy, along with Midas Rex. And those characters in that release will be able to be used within the game itself, with their specific equipment.

The Last Laugh package will cost 30 euros, and it also includes 1000 V-Bucks. It will be available from November 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, but for the first time on new consoles - PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Well, it can not be said that someone is denied the opportunity to otherwise free Fortnite be the first game he buys for the new generation of consoles.

By the way, this will be the first physical release of Fortnite since the game came out of beta or early access - and it happened recently. All the physical releases that came earlier were actually sold as "unfinished games".

We will be able to try out NBA 2K21 next week

2K Sports announced that NBA 2K21 will get a demo version for existing platforms, as early as next Monday.

Korona has not disrupted virtual sports, so simulations of basketball, football, golf, hockey and other sports arrive on a regular schedule. This means that demo versions will arrive soon, and NBA 2K21 will be among the first to demonstrate its new season. Demo of this game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will be available from August 24, ie from next Monday.

For some reason, the demo of the PC version is not mentioned, which is suspicious because the PC version will be in the range of the one for PS4 and XBO. Therefore, in this demo version, we will not get a display of a completely new generation of NBA 2K series, which will be reserved for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, at a price of 70 euros.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered comes out next Friday the 13th.

The 2010 Remaster Need for Speed: Hot Pursuita, which has not yet been officially confirmed, has a release date - also unconfirmed.

About two months ago, we heard a rumor that Electronic Arts would launch a 2010 remaster of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. This has not yet been officially confirmed, but the release date has already leaked through the British Amazon: November 13, 2020. This information has been removed more or less quickly, which also gives a kind of confirmation to the rumor itself.

It would make sense for NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered to be launched in the eleventh month. First of all, games from the Need for Speed series generally always come out in that period - of the last seven editions, only the mobile NFS No Limits was not launched in November. Secondly, Electronic Arts has nothing planned for the 11th month at the moment, and that is atypical for that company, especially in the month when we expect the arrival of new consoles.

Call of Duty: Warzone has glitch from nightmares, repairs are underway

Take a look at some weird graphics bugs happening to some Call of Duty: Warzone players and be warned - it could happen to you too because there is no solution yet.

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently suffering from insane graphic glitch that turns normal weapons into monster structures from nightmares. This doesn’t show up every time and to everyone, but the game is very popular so many players have already shared footage on the internet showing how their weapons turn into those weird polygonal horrors that take up half the screen.

The whole thing reminds me of the young days of overclocking the graphics card core - that's exactly what games looked like when I overdid it.

Fortnite can no longer be downloaded on mobile phones

Epic Games has started a war with Apple and Google, and they have decided to kick the popular Fortnite out of their app stores.

As of last night, Fortnite can no longer be downloaded in Android and iOS versions via the official Play Store and AppStore stores. If you already have it installed on your mobile phones, it doesn't mean anything to you until the new season comes, but all new installations have been temporarily suspended. We say temporary, but the real question is who will seek justice in this situation - and when.

Namely, the downloads and installations of Fortnite for mobile phones were not stopped by the game manufacturer, Epic Games, but by Google and Apple. They did so after Epic Games defiantly decided to insert a workaround to sell content within Fortnite, without the approval of Google and Apple.

The reason they did this is that Google and Apple collect 30% of the amount of each transaction in all apps located on the Play Store and AppStore. Epic Games, for its part, has decided to attract a mass of users of the popular Fortnite by making content 30% cheaper for customers by selling content directly. But Google and Apple by no means want to distribute apps from which they don’t take a commission, so Fortnite was very quickly removed from the distribution.

In Epic Games, they can afford such acrobatics because they have one of the most popular games in the world. But from Apple’s perspective, they aren’t important enough to be given certain benefits, such as paying a smaller commission, as was done in the case of Amazon.

Epic Games responded to these moves by Google and Apple by filing lawsuits, calling those companies anti-consumer and monopolistic practices. The #FreeFortnite campaign has also been launched, in which Epic Games calls on Fortnite players to fight Google and Apple. Not coincidentally, they promote it with a parody of an advertisement by which Apple once promoted its product.

Marvel’s Avengers comes out in September, but as early as this month, beta testing began, first on the PlayStation 4 for those who pre-ordered the game, and soon for everyone on the PC and Xbox One.

So if you plan to take part in an open beta test on a PC, it would be wise to first check if your computer can run the game at all.

The official minimum and recommended PC configurations for Marvel’s Avengers have just been released and the news is good - by this it seems that the game is not too demanding, and we already know that it looks very nice.

We transfer the minimum and recommended configuration below.

Configuration for the common man:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: i3-4160 or AMD equivalent
  • 8GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GTX 950 / AMD 270 (min 2GB video frame)
  • DirectX 12
  • 75GB HDD space

Superhero conf:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K, 3.4 Ghz or AMD Ryzen 51600, 3.2 Ghz
  • 16GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480, 8GB.
  • DirectX 12

The first wave of beta testing took place last weekend and only for those who pre-ordered the game for PlayStation 4. The second wave will take place this weekend and will be open to all PlayStation 4 users, and for those who pre-ordered the game on PC and Xbox One console. The third wave will be open to all and will take place from August 21st to 23rd, and the pre-load for that version starts on August 20th.

Forza Horizon 3 will no longer be available for purchase

Microsoft has announced the end of its lifespan for the Forza Motorsport 3, which goes out of sale next month.

The Forza Horizon 4 will live on for a few more years and will be specially optimized for the new Xbox Series X console. However, its predecessor will not be that lucky. The Australian chapter of Forza actually goes to the eternal hunting grounds… in part. Namely, it was announced that the 2016 Forza Horizon 3 will be removed from sale on PC and Xbox from September 27 this year. That includes everything extra for that game.

The reason for this move probably lies in the expiration of car and music licenses. Fortunately, none of this will harm existing game owners and those who manage to buy it by September 27. If the game is tied to your account, you will be able to continue playing it and download it again as if nothing had happened. Moreover, its online component will function properly until further notice. "End of life" in this case just means the end of the sales cycle.

A 70% discount has been prepared for this occasion, which will last until September 27. The ultimate edition of the game, with all DLC extensions, can be purchased for $ 21. The standard edition without DLC sells for just $ 9.89.

The Xbox Series X is coming in November, but without the big Halo Infinite exclusive

Development studio 343 Industries, however, will not complete Microsoft's big Halo Infinite exclusive within the promised deadline. The game has been postponed to 2021.

Microsoft and Sony still plan to launch new consoles for the 2020 holiday season, although it is questionable whether the COVID-19 virus will make it difficult to distribute and sell them. Microsoft has once again confirmed that we can expect the Xbox Series X in November 2020, which is again not a precise term, but hey - mic by mic, that will come. We will be happy if they announce the price of the console before it goes on sale.

In general, as a potential release day, Friday, November 6 is the best. It is possible that the console will be released on "Friday the 13th", the weekend before the release of hit games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The least chances are that the console will be launched on November 27, when the so-called Black Friday, because that would cause confusion.

Unfortunately, on the date that the Xbox Series X hits the market, it has been confirmed that Microsoft's new console will not have its biggest exclusive on the first day - Halo Infinite. That game has been postponed to 2021. From Microsoft's promise that the Xbox Series X will be the first Xbox console after the original Xbox to launch with the new Halo game, we've come to the conclusion that the Xbox Series X will be the first Xbox console not to be launched with any Microsoft-produced game.

The reasons for the delay are the challenges in production caused by the consequences of the pandemic. However, the delay had hung in the air before. It was known that the game changed the creative director in the middle of development, and then last month - while we were still assured that the game was coming in the fall - Halo Infinite left fans indifferent with its mediocre graphic side.

The 343 Industries development team has promised to make the game better, but they obviously need time to do so. How much exactly - is not known, because in the postponement they do not mention when they will deliver Halo Infinite in 2021.

Sam Fisher is a new operative at Rainbow Six Siege

Previous rumors have proved true - the famous character from Splinter Cell will join the Rainbow team in the upcoming season of the famous Ubisoft multiplayer shooter.

Ubisoft has just released a short review of the new operative for the upcoming season of Rainbow Six Siege. It was rumored before, and now it has been confirmed - Sam Fisher will help the Rainbow team fight the enemy. The full title of the next season of the aforementioned Ubisoft title will be Operation Shadow Legacy.

In the short trailer we can see Sam holding a device in his hand that fires cameras at the wall. In addition to serving as devices for watching who is moving where, they will also be able to shoot - as the Maestro does with his cameras. Fisher himself will fight on the attacker’s side and will be the only operative to arrive at Shadow Legacy. It has long been known that in the coming seasons of Rainbow Six Siege, one operative will come out because the development studio wants to focus more on gameplay changes.

A full screening of the upcoming season awaits us on August 16 at the finals of the American League. Then we should get a concrete view of the new striker and some more details about the season itself.

Dirt 5 has been delayed, but everything is fine

Dirt 5 has just experienced a small delay, but no worries - it will be only a week late from the previously set date.

Dirt 5 was supposed to come out in October, but was delayed a bit. And when I say a little - I really mean a little.

Codemasters has announced that Dirt 5 will come out a week later than originally communicated. The new release date is October 16, and the game will then be released in PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions.

Dirt 5 will be another cross-gen game which means that after the release of the new consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S, it will be released in versions for them.

Here’s one gameplay video to get you a feel for the graphics and mods you can expect in the game.

No worries, this in the video isn’t all Dirt 5 will offer. You can expect 12 different car classes and career mods with five chapters and over 130 events.

The game will also support split-screen gaming for up to four players, this is not seen every day!

Excited about the new Dirt? Not really? Report in the comments.

The Last of Us Part 2 soon becomes much more difficult

Did you miss the challenge in The Last of Us Part 2 even the highest weight setting? No worries, the Permadeath option is coming soon and the Grounded difficulty level is already known to us from the unit.

If The Last of Us Part 2 was too easy for you even the highest weight setting, we have good news. The updated list of trophies for this game has just confirmed to us that the so-called Grounded difficulty level as well as Permadeath game mode.

Grounded was the name for the hardest difficulty level in the first The Last of Us game. Playing on Grounded you didn’t have Listen mode, the enemies did more damage, there was significantly less stock to pick up and you didn’t have HUD. The Last of Us Part 2 already has the option of such a weight adjustment so it remains questionable what Grounded will actually look like in Part 2.

Of course, Permadeath means you only get one life for the duration of the entire game. Those who want a special challenge could turn on the Grounded difficulty level with the Permadeath option, and those who only hunt trophies could choose the easiest weight level and Permadeath as a spice. However, these are two separate trophies, so it seems that Permadeath can be included at whatever level of difficulty you decide to play.

It is not yet known when the update that brings this news to the game will actually arrive.

Cyberpunk 2077: a bunch of new details with two hot new videos

We got fresh new details about Cyberpunk 2077, including life path mechanics and new details about weapons. All with beautiful new gameplay footage.

Cyberpunk 2077 is slowly approaching its release date in November, and CD Project RED continues to raise dust by revealing new details. He just finished a live stream called Night City Wire: Episode 2, during which they revealed new details about weapons and the so-called life paths, or the life direction that your character in the game can go. There will be three different life paths in the game, and the same will set the starting point for your character’s story, but also affect how your Night City adventure will unfold later.

Life pats are actually a background story, a kind of foundation for your character, and the CD Project RED says that choosing a life pat will be more than just the beginning of the game. Their focus is to make a “true RPG” with Cyberpunk 2077, so the choice of life patch for your character will affect various things later in the game, such as dialog options to choose from and routes to progress through certain missions. See an example of what this will look like in practice in the video below, dedicated to life paths.

And while those ways that life means will throw RPG fans into delirium, those who are more excited about Cyberpunk for shooting around Night City will be happier with the other video they released today. The focus in it are the weapons, which of course have extremely cool names - the discount Tsunami Nekomata semi-automatic sniper and Carnage shotgun that suspiciously quickly turns a perfectly good van into a fire element. See them in action behind the play button below these words.

You can watch the complete Night City Wire video below, and let us know in the comments how Cyberpunk 2077 looks to you now.

Bethesda is still working on official support for Fallout 76 mods

Bethesda is not giving up on Fallout 76 and plans to reward the loyalty of the few players soon with the long-promised official support for mods.

Despite a disastrous launch, Fallout 76 is a relatively good game today. This is confirmed by the reviews of players on Steam, which are "mostly positive". Although it has only between 10 and 30 thousand active players, Bethesda does not give up its intention to make the game more meaningful and thus bring it to the originally promised level.

The first step in that intent was a free Wastelanders update that brought liveliness to the game in the form of NPC characters. The next step is official support for mods that largely represent a lifeline for Bethesda’s games such as Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. In this sense, Bethesda assures that they are working diligently on the above, but that their implementation is hampered by the game's client-server architecture and its online nature.

Although in Fallout 76 mods have existed since the game's release, for now they can only be found on various sites such as Nexus Mods. Official support would mean their easier integration into the game itself, their arrival at Steam Workshop, and maybe some new tools to make them.

Horizon Zero Dawn for PC isn’t exactly an ideal port, but developers are working on it

If you were looking forward to the PC release of Horizon Zero Dawn, it might be wise to wait a bit with the purchase. The technical problems some players face are irritating.

A game where you hunt robosaurs and not ARK? Horizon Zero Dawn of course!

The long-awaited PC version of this previous PlayStation 4 exclusive received some negative comments after the first few days on the market, aimed at poor optimization. On Steam, the game currently has "Mixed" ratings, and a quick look at user reviews makes it clear that most say it's a good game, but a bad PC port.

Problems in the PC version are manifested by poor performance on quite good hardware, especially when entering and exiting the cutscene, but also by frequent crashes of the game on the computers of some players. Problems of this kind don’t affect everyone so while some enjoy the game with no problems, others can’t get a quiet framerate even on beastly machines with RTX 2080 Ti cards.

Studio Guerrilla Games confirmed that they are aware of the problem and said they are investigating all the reports that players send them. They did not say when we could see the next update that could solve such problems, but they said it was their "highest priority" at the moment.

Slayer returns even more vicious in the first expansion for Doom Eternal

Doom Slayer has made quite a mess in the rest of the Doom universe by saving Earth and now is the time to fix it the way he knows best.

The therapeutic experience called Doom Eternal soon becomes even greater. Namely, Bethesda announced the release of an expansion for Doom Eternal at this year's QuakeCon, full title Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part One.

While saving the country from a demon invasion for Doom Slayer is another typical Wednesday, his bloodthirsty campaign did not go unnoticed. His meddling in the cosmic order forced the true ruler of the Doom universe to recruit him in hopes of repairing the damage he had done. This of course involves killing hordes of demons who have taken over the high-tech world of the angelic Maykr faction.

The teaser trailer shown doesn’t reveal much about the changes in the gameplay itself. Only a few new locations, enemies, but also a bunch of recognizable Doom violence are visible. The full revelation of the expansion awaits us at this year’s Gamescom, at the end of August.

Pure gameplay from the PlayStation 5 - Godfall doesn’t look very impressive

Godfall is one of the first games announced for the PlayStation 5, but this looter-slasher title won’t overly impress you with its graphics, as this new video also vividly illustrates.

Godfall is coming out later this year for the PlayStation 5 and PC, and publisher Gearbox recently released an above gameplay video to explain to us how the fight in this looter-slasher title will work. Of course, when it comes to games with the “next-gen” label, everyone is only interested in the visual presentation, but Godfall could disappoint you in that regard. It certainly doesn’t look bad, but it doesn’t look like a generational leap in graphics either.

Still, the game as a game has some potential for fans of the genre, with lots of loots to collect, various movesets to master and epic boss fights that we will perform alone or in co-op to earn that valuable loot. If you’ve played games like Destiny and Division you know roughly what you can expect from Godfall as well, only here the focus is on melee fighting instead of shooting.

It should be mentioned that people are not very enthusiastic about the video above - it gathered only 90,000 views in two days, and has 625 dislikes and 950 likes. However, it should be borne in mind that the video does not show the final version of the game and that the whole thing should look a bit better after the release.

UPDATE: The video was also released on the official PlayStation channel where it has much more positive numbers - 750,000 views in two days, 22,000 likes and 3,800 dislikes.

A teaser for the new Call of Duty game popped up in the middle of a Warzone match

Activision has started with the slow unveiling of the new Call of Duty, which should take place during the Cold War, and the latest indicator of this topic was noticed in the middle of a Warzone match.

Although the grand unveiling of the new Call of Duty is expected on Monday, Activision is already throwing teasers around. One appeared inside Call of Duty: Warzone, and was caught and posted on Twitter by a player with the nickname NutterButterAF.

When Warzone was playing this Friday, NutterButterAF noticed in the middle of the match that the screen was behaving strangely. Some interference appeared in the middle of the screen along with a very briefly visible message. Fortunately, he recorded the whole thing, so by slowing down the recording, the message "Know Your History" can be clearly read. After that, the words "obrečenyna ee povtorenie" were noticed, which is an inscription in Russian which means "Doomed to repeat". It is obvious that Activision is trying to connect these teasers with the time of the new Call of Duty, which should deal with the topic of the Cold War, and at the center of which was, of course, Russia, ie the Soviet Union.

If you haven't followed, the new Call of Duty should be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and in our experience and some logic it should be promoted as the first "next-gen" Call of Duty title as it should come out for new consoles arriving later this year, as well as for the current ones. We should hear and see more about all of this on Monday.

The creators of the Batman Arkham games are working on a Suicide Squad game

The British studio behind the Batman Arkham Games has confirmed that it is working on developing a new game in the DC universe, the details of which we will find out at the end of August.

In recent months, it has been rumored that the creators of the Batman Arkham trilogy are working on a new game from the DC world. Now they have officially announced themselves on the issue and announced that they are doing a Suicide Squad game.

Rocksteady Studios posted a picture of Superman on its Twitter profile with a Suicide Squad logo on its head. We will experience the first real look at the game on August 22 at the DC Fandome event, and it is expected that it will be a full-blooded next-gen game, and accordingly it is expected to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.

Earlier this year, in the sixth month to be precise, the domain SuicideSquadKillTheJusticeLeague appeared on the internet and many began to believe that it could be the title of the upcoming Suicide Squad game. Rocksteady’s brief teasing on Twitter, giving the impression that Superman will be in danger, certainly goes in his favor. But of course, for a little more detail we will have to wait another two weeks.

We will see the first "next-gen" Call of Duty next Monday

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War should be officially unveiled as early as this Monday if the mysterious padlock boxes that some media outlets are to be believed.

It seems that Activision is finally ready to introduce us to the new Call of Duty, which we have already learned should be called Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. It should be the first "next-gen" Call of Duty game since it would only be logical that in addition to the current platform, it will also be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

As we wrote the day before yesterday, fresh details about the new CoD game should be seen in some way through the current Call of Duty: Warzone, but until now we didn’t know when that big announcement could happen.

The mystery has now been seemingly solved because some media outlets have been given special press kit boxes with the message “don’t open until August 10 at 6 p.m.”. This should of course indicate the date and time of the discovery of the new game.

The beautiful new Apex Legends trailer reveals crafting system and a new legend are coming into play

The trailer for Apex Legends Season 6 is out, it looks wonderful and tells us about the changes that will befall the game from the 18th of this month.

Even if you don’t play the game the trailers for Apex Legends are so finely animated that everyone should watch them. And if you look at this latest trailer and even better - read the official blog post, you will see that with season 6 comes into play a crafting system, a new weapon called the Volt and a new legend called the Rampart. For now, there are not too many details about the new legend, but they say that it is "expert blue", which probably has something to do with the mentioned crafting system.

The trailer also suggests that there will be some changes to the map as well, as a huge rocket is visible breaking through the clouds in the opening shots.

Season 6 arrives in Apex Legends on the 18th of this month.

You can play Borderlands 3 for free this weekend

In the next few days, the third sequel to the very popular series will be available for free on computers and consoles. If the players like it, they will be able to get the game at big discounts.

Five months after arriving on Steam, Borderlands 3 will be able to be tested for free on that platform. Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a new game with the vibes of Robin Hood, coming to PlayStation 5

Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a new game for the current and new generation of gaming platforms, and with an interesting debut trailer it throws clear vibes of Robin Hood.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends has just announced a new game for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.

It will be a multiplayer PvPvE game focused on theft, and the release is planned for 2021.

The game is developed by Sumo Newcastle studio, the team behind Eve: Valkyrie, and published by Focus Home Interactive.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends is described as a “dark and violent” game, but it doesn’t really look so dark at the end of the introductory trailer where you can see the first hints of gameplay.

In Hitman 3, we will also eliminate targets with a VR headset on our head

The most famous bald killer with the new game will have the ability to eliminate targets in an even more intimate environment at all locations within the World of Assassination trilogy of Hitman games.

The creativity of eliminating targets in Hitman 3 will get a new dimension because the VR version of the game has just been announced and will be available immediately after its release in the first month of next year. The intimacy of elimination in VR will be available only to owners of PSVR devices, who will be able to experience all locations in virtual reality if they also own previous Hitman games.

Specifically, VR support arrives for the entire World of Assassination trilogy of Hitman games, and that means over 20 locations that will be available for another first-person pass. How the location import will work has not yet been specified in detail, but those details will be available in the coming months.

The new possibilities in eliminating targets in VR are best described by the example of developers who say you will be able to hit a guard on the head with a pan and then use the same object to repel bullets while deftly running away from an opponent.

So, Igor’s Hitman Rambo series could get one new dimension when Hitman 3 hits the market.

Power and lightsabers arrive at PSVR 25.8. in full release so we can experience the Star Wars virtual reality experience and show how skilled or clumsy we are in using the sword.

Serious Sam 4 has been delayed though

Serious Sam 4 was originally supposed to arrive sometime later this month, but now we’ve learned that the official release will still be in the ninth month.

The fourth part of Croteam's most popular series should contain over a thousand enemies on screen. We will have to wait another month for such an endeavor because we learned that Serious Sam 4 is not coming out this month, even though it was originally announced that way.

The reason for this delay of a month is not known, but all we know is that Sam and I will defeat the enemies on September 24 this year.

We expect several types of opponents in the game, and the main protagonist should be joined by several new characters. A very rich arsenal of weapons, shooting challenge and an even higher level of visual violence are just some of the things that await us in the upcoming sequel.

Nintendo is crushing it, sold 61 million Switch consoles and recorded big earnings growth

Nintendo hit a golden vein during the pandemic with the Animal Crossing game, on whose wings twice as many Switch consoles were sold as expected.

Sales of the Nintendo Switch console rose sharply in the last quarter. Nintendo announced today that they have sold as many as 5.68 million Switch consoles in the period from April to July this year. This is twice as much as last year's result at the same time, and this result can certainly be attributed at least in part to the coronavirus pandemic, which many have stayed at home and have so far treated with gaming.

That impressive figure is divided into the standard Switch console which sold 3.05 million units and the Nintendo Switch Lite version which added another 2.62 million units sold in total. This means that since its launch, Nintendo has sold a total of 61.44 million Switch consoles, as well as the fact that the Switch should surpass total sales of the 3DS console by next year. And the 3DS sold like hot cakes!

Despite the results slightly higher than expected, Nintendo reiterated that they still plan to sell 19 million units of Switch consoles by the end of March next year, ie not to change their forecast.

In the same period, the results of their first-party games for Switch were also excellent, in which people obviously found solace and fun during the pandemic. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is still a relatively new game on the market, and is already the second best-selling game for Switch in general. Since its release in March this year, the new Animal Crossing has sold an incredible 22.4 million copies, of which over 10 million were sold in the first quarter of the year alone. This means that this game is now better-selling than popular titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pokémon Sword and Shield and Super Mario Odyssey. The only obstacle to its top is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 26.74 million copies sold.

Pokemon Sword and Shield also sells great. In fact, it has become the best-selling Pokemon title in the last 20 years with over 18 million copies in the hands of gamers.

As for the rest of the year, a new Paper Mario has recently come out, and although their release dates have not been confirmed games like Bravely Default II and No More Heroes 3 should come out this year. In addition, fans can look forward to the Deluxe version of Pikmin 3 coming in the 10th month. Will that be enough and is Nintendo hiding some more big announcements from us before the end of this year? As soon as we find out something you read it on HCL.
