The action RPG Mortal Shell can now be tried out on a PC
Mortal Sell, another one of those games that plans to “attack” the Souls series, is now free to try out during beta testing.
A remake of Demon’s Souls is coming to us in the future, and the From Software team is working on a brand new Elden Ring. There are plenty of reasons for fans of soulborne-type games to be optimistic. But until those games see the light of day, it’s not a bad idea to try out a promising competitor called Mortal Shell in the meantime.
The game in question launched a closed beta test on the PC platform last weekend. The developers expected the interest in this testing to be high, but in the end it turned out that the game wanted to be tested by a far larger number of players than they thought. So they decided to open testing for all interested players. The only prerequisite is that you have an account for the Epic Games Store, as the game is temporarily exclusive to that platform.
The beta version normally contains about an hour and a half of gameplay provided your reflexes are accustomed to the challenge of soulborne games. Everyone else may need a little more time to complete. Basically, we have two characters available in the beta version - Harros and Tiel.
