Gender reassignment will no longer be charged in World of Warcraft

Blizzard has announced that it will change the current policy on charging for gender reassignment for characters in World of Warcraft.

Characters in the still popular World of Warcraft can be modified by various items and most physical modifications are free with a virtual razor. However, changing the gender of the character itself is charged - 15 euros each time you want it. This has been the case for many years and there has not been much dust around it. But Blizzard has decided that it is no longer polite to charge for such a thing in today’s climate.

“When we set out to add things to the Shadowlands expansion, we realized that the only way to change gender in World of Warcraft was through paying a fee for it. And we figured that didn't send the right message. " - executive producer of the game John Hight told Eurogamer.

In Blizzard, they claim that they cannot simply put this paid service out of circulation (?), But that they can make gender reassignment free for all customers of the upcoming Shadowlands expansion. So it will no longer charge for gender reassignment if you pay for the latest expansion. And if you don't pay, then everything is still the same. In other words, a good message is sent, and good is earned. All happy and satisfied?
