The Last of Us Part II recorded the most downloads in the sixth month
Sony’s exclusive The Last of Us Part II was by far the most popular game to download on the PS4 console during the sixth month of this year.
Sony has released a list of games that have been the most downloaded in digital editions through the PlayStation store in the past, sixth month. As usual, the scale is divided into two parts - one for games that are paid and the other for games that are downloaded for free (F2P). There were no changes to the F2P rankings - Call of Duty: Warzone was still the most popular ahead of Fortnite and Apex Legends.
However, the ranking of purchased games changed compared to last month, and the PS4 exclusive The Last of Us Part II topped the list. The game recorded the largest number of downloads in Europe and North America (USA, Canada).
No specific figures are mentioned, but it is worth noting that TLOU2 is only the second new game from 2020 to manage to achieve such a result this year. Before it, only Final Fantasy 7 Remake as a new title recorded the most downloads in the fourth month, while during the remaining four months of 2020 the most downloads were recorded by last year's hits FIFA 20 and CoD: Modern Warfare, with the old and inevitable GTA 5.
It is also worth noting that among the 20 games with the most downloads in Europe, TLOU2 is the only game not only from the sixth month but also from 2020. As for the American market, Minecraft Dungeons and SpongeBob Rehydrated remaster also managed to get into the top 20.
