Ghost Recon Breakpoint PC requests have arrived, divided into four categories

Ubisoft has revealed what kind of hardware it will require PC players to launch the fall hit Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

host Recon Wildlands used to be quite a challenging game on the PC platform. Its successor will be a little more reasonable on this point, but Ubisoft has nevertheless prepared not two but four different configurations for it, which tentatively reveal what level of graphic quality we can expect with certain hardware.

Looking at the minimum configuration, Breakpoint is definitely more demanding than the Wildlands in all aspects - it looks for newer processors, more memory and more powerful graphics cards. The recommended configuration is somewhere so GTX 1060 cards will still be sufficient for 1080p high details, though now a 6GB model (Wildlands claimed 4GB).

As far as the top rank is concerned, for high detail in 4K resolution you will need fairly powerful hardware, primarily in the form of a graphics card where RTX 2080 is recommended (though the game will not have raytracing support). Of course, manufacturers often know how to exaggerate the official requirements, so Breakpoint might also be able to play on weaker hardware, with a bit of wistfulness and chemistry with the settings.

Here are all the requirements:

Minimum configuration for low detail in 1080p:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core I5 4460
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon R9 280X or Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 (4GB)

Recommended configuration for high detail in 1080p:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core I7 6700K
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 480 or Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 (6 GB)

Ultra configuration for ultra detail at 1440p:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X or Intel Core I7 6700K
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080

Elite configuration for ultra detail in 4K:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or Intel Core I7 7700K
RAM: 16 GB

GPU: AMD Radeon VII or Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080
