The space opera continues - Homeworld 3 has been announced

It took only 16 years to welcome the announcement of the third sequel to the iconic Homeworld space strategy, with another unexpected surprise.

What many hoped for has finally come to fruition - Homeworld 3 has been announced, which, if all goes according to plan, should be played at the end of 2022. The Blackbird Interactive guys and girls who provided us with Homeworld: Deserts Of Kharak will be in charge of reviving the new space fleet.

Gearbox Publishing claims that the game's development is at an early stage with only a few months to go before production, which is why we have to wait longer to get out. Although the game has a publisher which also means financial stability, its development can be supported through the Fig platform.

Specifically, fans of the series can already book their copy on the said platform, but Homeworld 3 has no goal of how much money it has to raise. Specifically, the goal was set at $ 1, and at the time of writing this news, $ 241,970 was raised, with the collection taking a month. In addition to investing in the best possible final product, the audience will also be able to participate in the development with their suggestions and comments.

We'll find out more about the news that will be available with the third sequel later in the campaign, and the priority for the development studio is to deliver a game that immediately looks, sounds and feels like Homeworld. Also, their desire is to deliver a powerful action that continues to the end of Homeworld 2, with of course the best space fleet combat in complete 3D space.

For those who are unfamiliar with this series or who want to remember the space battles, the Homeworld Remastered Collection can be purchased on Steam for only € 4.79.

Another surprise about this series is the announcement of a separate project, housed in the same universe - Homeworld Mobile. Stratosphere development studio is in charge of moving space battles to mobile devices, and they should play the game next year. Also, anyone who supports the development of part three will gain access to an early version of the mobile game.

Trine 4 is in life shape, looking better than ever

In a seven-minute gameplay preview from the cooperative platformer Trine 4, we are shown how heroes will fight nightmares at the very beginning of the game.

Check this out - they are now delaying the testing of Star Citizens as well

Star Citizen and delays are slowly becoming synonymous as the anticipated beta testing of Squadron 42 requires more patience for players - three additional months to be exact.

Squadron 42, a singleplayer component within Star Citizen for which a number of Hollywood actors have been hired, will not get into the hands of the flyer within the originally scheduled timeline. Specifically, although beta testing of that component was scheduled to take place in the second quarter of 2020, it was postponed by an additional 12 weeks due to a "redistributed" development.

Although the delays are no longer surprising to Star Citizen, the new development mode means six-month cycles instead of the current three, which again means developing more features with fewer bugs, and still leaving out quarterly updates.

Considering how long a single player player campaign is waiting for, three months does not sound like too much of a delay, but that doesn't mean there won't be any new delays. The next major development step is version 4.0, but for more details, they will have to wait before they are fully revealed.

Control in the PC version has a simplicity of graphics options that you just have to adore

It is surprising how easy it is to choose graphical settings in the PC version of Control, and above all, practical.

Over time, one learns to appreciate the little things in games, and I recognized one of these things in the PC version of the new SF Control Shooter. Specifically, Control has one of the best solutions for selecting graphic quality settings I've noticed in PC games lately. The thing is really very simple - when you go into the picture view options in Control, you literally have full control and everything in one place. So there is no division into the display options and graphics quality. There is no hiding how many quality settings there are - everything is visible at first.

You know when you're not sure if a game has a very high or ultra setting for a particular graphics segment? This is not in Control, but all settings are listed. No joking, scrolling, popup menus, etc. See everything you need to see, completely clear.

Best of all, the Northlight Engine is so flexible that it allows you to change the quality of your graphic display without having to restart the game. There's nothing worse than having to restart a game to get better graphics. And Control takes such a right that it does not even ask the player if he wants to save the changed settings, but automatically saves everything without any question. What a refreshment!

Of course, the PC version of the Control is not entirely perfect. For example, there is no option for shutting down motion blues, which every game should have. Also, I find that every game in the PC version should have what Ghost Recon Wildlands has - a parallel image that shows what is lost and obtained by the individual graphics settings.

We are far from having any PC game with such practical interfaces and options, but I think this definitely deserves praise - Remedy has really done a good job with this game in its PC version.

In the ninth month, we head our way on a post-apocalyptic excursion to the Overland game

The award-winning indie game Overland has finally gotten a release date for all four versions in which it will appear.

There's something very appealing about the idea of driving a car through the wilderness and surviving day by day, and that's exactly what Overland plays. We can most easily describe it as a copy of Mad Max - when Max was driving a sloppy car and fighting over moves. Because this is a tactical game where the journey is not made through driving but at stations, ie points where we look for resources: food, medicine, weapons and fuel.

The post-apocalypse is also a bit specific in Overland, but best to see for yourself in the video what exactly that means. Basically, Overland just got a release date and it's pretty close - we'll play it from 9/19/2019 on PC, PS4, XBO and Switch platforms.

Moving Out creates fun from the toughest job in life

The Team17 publishing company has taken under its wing a migration simulator, which they say gives a whole new meaning to the term sofa multiplayer.

If you closely follow our series "Totally Mad Indie Games" you may already have seen a game called Moving Out. This is a home / apartment eviction simulation that is all but an authentic simulation. The settlement here requires the cooperative work of a minimum of two players and various improvisations such as throwing things, avoiding traffic and… ghosts?

Basically, the game has now been taken under the auspices of Team17, and it's clear why. With their hit Overcooked, they found a golden coca in the multiplayer genre for the local co-op, and in this they recognized the all-new dimension of couch multiplayer. Because you literally carry a couch in it.

The game was due out this year, but now its release has been moved to 2020. Moving Out will appear in releases for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Check out the new 15 minutes of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay

Check out what the creators of Witcher have prepared for their next game, Cyberpunk 2077, in a 15-minute gameplay preview.

PES 2020 brings a Master League remaster, here's what it looks like

PES 2020 will bring a somewhat cinematic presentation in the new edition of Master League Mode.

Although PES has shifted its power to myClub mode in recent years, older fans of the Master League series are still fond of it. It's nice to see that Konami didn't give up on him, and he promises a Master League remaster this year. It sounds silly - yes, but let's see what's really new in the PES 2020 Master League.

Frankly - the change is not as big as the PES creators boast about. The biggest novelty is a bunch of feature animations, most often off the field. As previously announced, we will be able to use models from various managers such as Zico, Robert Carlos, Lotar Matthaus, Bebet, Maradona, Romaria, Cruyff and others.

Managers will be active at press conferences, club meetings, training sessions, etc. It remains to be seen how much interaction we will have in these segments of the game, but don't expect much - everything that managers say will not be voiced.

The club will also have a companion meter, and more fans will probably make it easier to bring in top notch boosts. And at the very end, the main interface will be simplified, and it looks like it will adapt to the colors of the club, which is a nice detail.

GreedFall is soon opening the season of new RPG games, here are 13 minutes of gameplay

Check out what fun GreedFall promises to be, one of the prominent titles in the fall 2019 RPG genre.

Fall 2019 is devoid of big names in the RPG genre as we will not see new games from BioWare, Bethesda, CD Projekt, Square Enix and others. But it's not that there won't be any interesting RPG titles. Already at the beginning of the ninth month, GreedFall, a promising conquistador-themed game taking place on Teer Fradee Island where the indigenous population practices some kind of magic, arrives to us.

GreedFall seems to be getting better and better in every following promotional material, though it doesn't really give it much chance of success given that the Spiders development team didn't do very good games prethondo. But as you will see in the new 13-minute gameplay preview, GreedFall could be an unbroken diamond. If anything, it will be enough to give us something new these days so we don't have to go back to Witcher, Dragon Age and Skyrim again.

Metal Gear Solid 4 looks great on PC

One of the biggest exclusives of the PlayStation 3 era is making significant strides on the PC platform with high quality emulation.

Until recently, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots couldn't play outside of the PlayStation 3, the console for which the game was exclusive. But in early 2019, the game arrived on the PlayStation Now streaming service, which is also available on PC. Currently, this is the only way to fully experience the game on PC, from start to finish. However, emulation of the PS3 version on the PC is progressing very well and is already unimaginable - gameplay in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.

For now, this is feasible in the custom version of the RPCS3 emulator and the thing looks phenomenal. There are some graphic artifacts here and there, but everything is playful ... to a point. Specifically, the emulation has not yet solved some of the parts where the game crashes, so it cannot be completely completed. But as it went - it was only a matter of time before this could be played without major obstacles.

Poor offering gift game on the Xbox for the ninth month

Microsoft traditionally gives away four games to Xbox Live Gold subscribers, with next month's launch of Hitman's first season.

The gift games for the Xbox Live Gold subscription in the ninth month of 2019 are as follows:

  • Hitman (September 1 - September 30)
  • Earth Defense Force 2025 (September 1 - September 15)
  • Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (September 16 - September 30)
  • We Were Here (September 16 - October 15)

Stronghold: Warlords got the first gameplay trailer, slightly reducing the screaming colors

Stronghold Warlords has come to the PAX West Fair with a new trailer showing how the game's creators are listening to fans and their critics.

The time has come for Stronghold: Warlords to unveil their "cards," the strongest trump card called the Warlords system. On the occasion of PAX West, the first gameplay trailer was launched to show us how the engagement of war generals works and the benefits and obligations that come with it. In short, it is neither complicated nor revolutionary - with the generals you have hired you can exchange resources and the army when you see fit, and by winning larger forts, you unlock the new skills of every Warlord. Diplomacy points will be required to achieve co-operation.

Gunpowder or a series of gunpowder devices will be used to defend the fortifications this time. In the trailer you can see some kind of "rocket launcher", but also mines. I'm not sure how appealing it will be to Stronghold fans, but it's good to see that the game's creators are listening to the reviews, so they've slightly reduced the color tone on the environment. In the previous trailers, the environment was unnaturally shrill, and in this trailer the colors were a bit lighter and more natural.

Jumanji: The Video Game is a bit like Fortnite, with 100% more The Rock

The premiere of The Jumanji Game by Movie is actually a game and we have to admit - it doesn't look that bad.

The unwritten rule is that games that have THE VIDEO GAME in the title are usually not good. But it is quite possible that The Rock's muscle mass will make it incomprehensible and make a minimal solid, if not playful, title in the Jumanji game.

The first gameplay preview in Jumanji: The Video Game doesn't really look bad - it has the clutter, the crackle, the rhinoceros escape, and the escape of the ancient traps. While this is not a battle royale title, it is hard not to notice that in some segments it is aesthetically similar to Fortnite. But hey - both games use the same Unreal Engine 4, sure enough and the developer didn't even want to emulate the most popular game on the market.

Raise your adrenaline with the free DiRT Rally

This weekend's PC is free to purchase for real rally fans. You just have to be quick because the DiRT Rally won't wait long for the engine to start.

If you don't like free candy titles shared on the Epic Games Store you may be interested in something free on Steam. This weekend it's the DiRT Rally, a simulation game from 2015 that has already received its sequel but is still attractive and relevant in its genre in terms of content. The game is distributed free of charge on the Humble Store and once activated it is yours for all time.

But before you get into a rally car, you have to be quick because the offer is valid until 7pm on Sunday, and you have to activate the game code by September 5 this year.

Otherwise, whenever Codemasters donated their games for free lately, they would go out of business shortly after. This happened recently with Grid 2, before that with Dirt 3, and even before that with F1 2013. It is possible that the same will happen with the Dirt Rally, so this is an ideal opportunity to get the game without any remorse.

In Cyberpunk 2077 we choose the body but not the gender of the main character

CD Projekt RED has decided, on the basis of comments received in Cyberpunk 2077, to delete the boundaries between male and female.

Shortly after the E3 fair, the creators of Cyberpunk 2077 expressed their interest in enabling players to create a transgender character. Specifically, Cyberpunk 2077 was originally designed to allow players to choose between either a male or a female character, which to some was not in the spirit of Cyberpunk's world where transgender was a common occurrence.

As conceptual cartoonist Martha Jonkers reveals in an interview with Metro, CD Projekt RED accepted this criticism and ultimately modified the character creation system so that we no longer choose a man or a woman but a body type. Everything else is available for use in different combinations, so you can have a character with a female body and a male voice, you can add a female haircut to a male body, etc.

It should be emphasized that nothing has been taken away from the game - you can still make a character that you would interpret as a man or a woman. However, by deleting the boundaries between the two genera, the creation of the main character gains significantly more options and possibilities.

You can already download Gears 5

The sci-fi shooter Gears 5 can be downloaded as of today, though the game is only due out next week.

If you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, Microsoft has good news for you. First, you'll be able to play the upcoming Gears 5 exclusive from September 5, a good five days before the official release. Secondly, you can start installing the game right now, across all platforms. Currently, the installation weighs 60 gigabytes, which is not terrible compared to Gears of War 4 which weighs twice as much.

Speaking of Gears 4, coming to a sequel to that game means shutting down some multiplayer segments. The ranked play mode will continue until the second month of 2020, and special events will no longer be held.

On the bright side, the Gears 5 Coalition development studio promises a never-ending variety of map layouts, and you can check it out in the Frisian trailer. Of course, these are not all folders that will be available in the game, but they will subsequently receive additional folders through free DLCs.

Nintendo does not want to overdo it with microtransactions, as it believes it would hurt its reputation

Nintendo wants to keep microtransactions to a minimum and would prefer their games to be made available to as many people as possible, but of course, again to ultimately make a big buck.

Nintendo has always been a company that likes to portray itself as prone to family and bringing people together all year through digital and other entertainment. There are not too many female rounds in their games, controversial topics - everything is colorful, cheerful, and when you hit your opponent on the head, stars instead of blood come out of it. If Nintendo cares about anything, it's about its reputation, and it has an additional positive consequence.

The company believes that too many microtransactions could hurt their distinctive brand. Accordingly, they have previously warned some of their studios not to overdo it, and will continue to apply this philosophy in the future - especially when it comes to mobile games. Dragalia Lost is one of the games where its maker acknowledged that it would have made a lot more money from the game if the publisher were not Nintendo.

The upcoming Mario Kart Tour for Android and iOs mobile devices will also minimize microtransactions. The company believes that easily accessible and cheap mobile games will force players to buy and play their "big" brothers on Nintendo's consoles. In translation, the logic is - if you like the mobile Mario Kart Tour, you'll rush to the store to buy a Switch with a packed Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Makes sense.

The announcement of a new Resident Evil game has been announced

The new part of the Resident Evil series will be unveiled at the beginning of the ninth month, and will already be playable at the Tokyo Game Show.

We missed the guess that Capcom would be launching a new Resident Evil game at Gamescom, but we only missed the date and location. The new Resi is coming though - we still do not know if it is an eight or a reworking of Nemesis, but we will find out soon - September 9th at 5pm our time.

It has been revealed that the game is called Project Resistance, and it seems that it is near the end of the development cycle because it will be playable on September 12 at the Tokyo Game Show. So far, the games in the Resident Evil series were mostly released at the beginning of the year, so it is quite possible that the already rich 2020 will start with the new Resident Evil.

Get your shovels ready - Shovel Knight Dig announced

Platform game Shovel Knight has been gaining additional content for some time, but now we can look forward to a brand new title.

In 2014, Yacht Club Games development studio gave us a great 2D platformer called Shovel Knight. Despite the game being great on release day, Yacht Club Games honored us with additional content for the next five years. Now they have decided to go one step further and announce a brand new Shovel Knight game.

Specifically, a Shovel Knight spin-off called Shovel Knight Dig has been announced. This is a 2D platformer that puts even more focus on digging. In Shovel Knight Dig, our shovel hero will confront a new group of vicious knights. Supposedly, each level of the game will be different, and we will be able to upgrade Shovel Knight's equipment. Yacht Club Games is collaborating with the Nitrome development studio to work on the Shovel Knight Dig.

We also learned that new content for the original Shovel Knight game is getting really fast. Shovel Knight Showdown and Shovel Knight: King of Cards are coming to us this December, but we don't know the exact release date.

The Little Hope horror game has been announced

Horror game creators Until Dawn and Man of Medan have revealed their next project on The Dark Pictures.

Tomorrow, Man of Medan, the interactive horror adventure of the creators of Until Dawn, is coming out on PC and consoles. That game is part of an anthology series called The Dark Pictures for which the Supermassive development studio has conceived a total of eight horror titles. Man of Medan is the first, and what we learned after the game was over is that in 2020, a story called Little Hope arrives.

Little Hope is a small town / village where some weird things happen. While we had ghosts at Man of Medan, it seems that witches and some mutated monsters will meet us at Little Hope. The game is coming out in 2020, and hopefully by then the studio will solve some of the technical difficulties currently plaguing Man of Medan.

Ubisoft believes Steam's business model is unsustainable and outdated

Will Ubisoft's slow move away from Steam in favor of the Epic Games Store make Valve think about his business model?

We have already written extensively and extensively about the diverse family of launchers available on PC today. If you have been reading, you know the situation. For example, Valve and GOG take 30% of the cakes, Epic 12% of game sales, and there are those who sell their own games exclusively on their own launchers. The models for attracting customers are equally colorful. Some do this with the help of exclusives, others offer subscription models and the like.

In the light of all of the above, it is always interesting to hear what well-known companies think about their competitors and what their predictions are for the future of the industry. So, one of the leaders at Ubisoft, Chris Early, commented on Steam's business and called it, unrealistic, unsustainable and obsolete. Early believes that Steam is not keeping pace with the times and that its business model does not reflect the state of the industry.

Although it did not indicate exactly what part of their business they are referring to, the comment probably refers to the profit margin mentioned above. Ubisoft sells all of its games through Uplay, and has been stepping into Steam in favor of the Epic Games Store lately. The first example of this is The Division 2, and the same will be the case with the upcoming Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Ubisoft is thus secured on two fronts. Epic takes less, and if someone boycotts the same and wants a game - they'll rush to Uplay in which Ubisoft is 100% profitable.

Ubisoft is a big player in the gaming industry, so many wonder if its move away from Steam will make it think about changing its business model. Until that happens, Epic will continue to grab exclusives, at least according to Tim Sweeny, and we can probably expect another new launcher to look forward to it for the foreseeable future.

Spyro will weigh forces with Crashem in CTR Nitro-Fueled

Spyro and Crash Bandicoot will find themselves in the same game again. The next edition of the CTR Nitro-Fueled Grand Prix will feature a purple kite.

Crash Bandicoot and purple dragon Spyro were tied up from the beginning - Crash games came with demo versions of Spyro games and vice versa. Spyro has appeared as a playful character in Crash Nitro Kart, and now he will reprise his role in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.

On Friday, August 30, the new season of the Grand Prix kicks off in the aforementioned game, with three additional characters to unlock - Spyro, Hunter and Gnasty Gnorc. Each has its own vehicle, and the characters themselves will be able to be used in several different variants, e.g., Spyro will also have a black release, i.e. Dark Spyro.

With the additional characters comes a new track, simply called the Spyro Circuit. As expected, the track will be filled with motifs from the original Spyro game. On this track, Crash boxes have become Spyra caskets, apples have been replaced with diamonds, and the accompanying music will also remind players of the Spyro world. The trails themselves will have fewer shortcuts than other trails on offer, but will have their own portal-like specifics.

Batman and Darksiders arrive as a gift to PS Plus subscribers in the ninth month

Sony will have a great deal in the ninth month with its PlayStation Plus service with two attractive games.

Sony will continue its good streak in the ninth month as far as the PlayStation Plus gift-box offering is concerned. As usual, two games will be available for download, and this time it's a mix of relatively old and relatively new: Batman: Arkham Knight (2015) and Darksiders 3 (2018).

Games are those that in combined sales cost more than 500 kuna, so dare we say that the offer is very good. Arkham Knight is a great title that hasn't been shared for free until now, while Darksiders 3 is a solid game that you might not buy but would play when given the right opportunity.

Both games will be downloadable from 3. 9. The offer will be valid until 30. 9.

Marvel's Spider-Man received its Game of the Year release

Last year's Spider-Man game has a new package as of today, for which you can get a basic campaign and additional expansion for a lower price.

Spider-Man has had a turbulent week in the movie world, and while there were some doubts that Sony's divorce with Disney could also affect video games, the situation is currently stable. Specifically, Sony recently acquired Insomniac Games, the studio that made last year's Marvel's Spider-Man, and today the game has received a new release.

Although Spider-Man wasn't really the best game of 2018, it still got its GOTY (Game of the Year) release. As part of his campaign, the three-part extension of The City That Never Sleeps is coming, with the package selling for $ 349. The basic issue of the game was permanently reduced to HRK 269.

Of course, the game still remains exclusive to the PlayStation 4 console.

The alleged footage of League of Legends for mobile phones has emerged

The globally popular MOBA League of Legends could become playable on mobile devices in the near future.

Earlier this year, information emerged that Chinese giant Tencent was working with Riot Games on a mobile version of League of Legends. According to a Reuters report, Riot initially rejected the proposal, but MOBA games have become extremely popular with the mobile release.

Officially, nothing has been confirmed or announced yet, but an alleged game footage has appeared on the internet where we can see the mobile version interface. It may be fake material, but the gameplay itself doesn't look far from feasible - everything is fake, it wouldn't be a bad thing to have something like this one day.

Although League of Legends is still one of the most popular games in the world, the game's revenue is slowly declining as the game ages, so the mobile version could be an attempt to attract new players, or fresh revenue.

The Ninja has signed a contract with Adidas

Big sponsorships are increasingly common in the world of professional gaming. He decided to take his share of the cake to one of the biggest players in the sports equipment market, and help will be provided by the famous Ninja.

Mega-popular streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has signed a sponsorship deal with Adidas. He posted the news of his signing via his Twitter account, saying he was "appalled and excited to announce his partnership with Adidas." The tweet also shared Adidas' official account and welcomed him into the "family".

No shortcuts. Only long days. Never let anyone tell you that you catch your dreams.
Choose your path. Put the TIME IN.
Once humbled, and excited, to officially announce my partnership with @adidasoriginals
. https://t.co/B42gK4AoF5#createdwithadidas pic.twitter.com/PdAKnCflCD

- Ninja (@Ninja) August 27, 2019

Adidas has also added a partnership page to its official website, featuring a short promotional video in which Ninja tells how he perfected his craft and became one of the most popular creators of today. Unfortunately, there is no news of the collaboration that the collaboration should bring, and most avid Ninja and / or Adidas fans can sign up for a mailing list and follow the news on this partnership.

The Ninja recently decided it was time to quit Twitch and switch to the new Mixer platform, which was skeptical of a good portion of the gaming population. However, the first stream on Mixer was a huge success, with an average of 65,000 followers in 6 hours of Fortnite streaming. Considering that Twitch has averaged about 40,000 followers in the last couple of weeks, that's a big increase. It remains to be seen whether this is a "new toy" syndrome or will be able to retain such a large number of companions.

Cult characters Aladdin and The Lion King will get their remasters

After reviving Aladina and Simbu through new movies, Disney will do the same in the video game world where remakes of the cult platformers of the 90s await us.

Gamers who grew up in the 1990s remember the Aladdin and The Lion King games we had the opportunity to play on NES, SNES and Sega Mega Drive consoles. As is usually the case lately, a portion of nostalgia is coming to us, because these two games should get their remasers this fall. Specifically, at a GameStop retailer conference, someone sneakily snapped an announcement of this remaster collection, revealing that it is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

If this is true information, and chances are good that this is true, the Disney Aladdin and Lion King Collection could serve as the first in a series of potential remaster collections. During the 1990s, their franchises had great platformers such as The Jungle Book, Tarzan and Toy Story. Given the success of Crash Bandicoot and Spyr, surely someone at Disney wondered why they wouldn't revive their catalog of once-loved games, either.

It is rumored that as of tomorrow we should be able to sign up for remasers of these games, and the remasers are said to be based on Mega Drive / SNES versions of the games released in 1993 and 1994. Nostalgic fans will also be pleased to hear that both games will feature original soundtrack or original music.

The first image of Crypto, a new character in Apex Legends, has appeared

The GameStop conference featured a character who is quite possibly the next legend in the Apex Legends battle royale game.

It has been rumored for some time that Crypto is the next character to be added to the Apex Legends battle royale game. File miners (uh!) Have dug up information about him and his equipment and speculate that he will use a drone that lasts 40 seconds and has a range of 200 meters, can hack doors and boxes with loot, spot enemies up to 30 meters away and display them comrades. Finally, Crypto's ultimate attack is an EMP attack that slows down enemies, destroys their shields and disables all traps.

We've already seen Crypto in the trailer for the second season, but now it's been spotted on promotional material that was featured at GameStop's conference. Unlike previous legends, Crypto still looks normal - if we ignore the screaming green collar.

It is also revealed that Apex Legends will receive Halloween themed costumes in the tenth month. It was also mentioned that the game would be released in a physical release, similar to Fortnite.

A new gameplay from The Last of Us Part 2 is shown - select hubs only

Gamestop retailers have seen a new gameplay preview from the big PS4 exclusive The Last of Us Part 2.

It's been over a year since we last saw The Last of Us Part 2, currently the most awaited exclusive PlayStation platform game. But some still saw it - yesterday. Gamestop held its GME conference, which was attended by store managers, and was presented with a series of upcoming games, including The Last of Us Part 2.

As the conference was not available to the public, we do not have any game footage, but some employees have confirmed that pure gameplay was shown. According to them, the presentation focused on the mechanics of hiding and using Clicker to your advantage. This is interesting information because mutated enemies (fungal "zombies") were not featured at all in the game materials so far, but we saw Ellie fighting the Seraphite cult.

Then Troy Baker, the actor who lends his voice to Joel, the protagonist of the last play, also found himself on stage. It is unknown what Baker was telling the Gamestop employees exactly, but there was a reference to the so-called Outbreak Day - the day the apocalypse broke out in the world of The Last of Us. That day is marked on September 26th, and if you ask us, chances are good that we will see new gameplay shots right then.

Who knows - maybe then we'll find out the release date of the game.

You won't need expensive PC hardware for Borderlands 3

Gearbox has revealed the hardware requirements for the Borderlands 3 and pleasantly surprised us by listing the recommended configuration in 1440p resolution.

The visual style of Borderlands has never been particularly complex, allowing previous games to run on PC toasters as well. Borderlands 3 will be more demanding than the previous parts, but for today's terms it will not look for wicked hardware. In fact, we're sure many PC players will be able to run the game in 4K resolution as well, provided they have a proper monitor.

At a minimum, you will need 1080p for six-year-old hardware and 75 gigabytes of disk space. The recommended configuration is for 1440p or 2K gaming. Convenient, since the game is released by 2K Games. Here are these configurations:

Minimal chaotic 1080p configuration:

  • CPU: AMD FX-8350 or Intel i5-3570
  • GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7970 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB
  • RAM: 6 GB
  • HDD: 75 GB

Recommended chaotic 1440p configuration:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel i7-4770
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 590 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • HDD: 75 GB

In addition to the configurations themselves, Gearbox was so good as to share with us all graphics related settings in the PC version of Borderlands 3. The good news is that we will be able to change anything and everything - interface size, FOV separately for character and vehicle, motion blur for objects and camera, and a built-in FPS meter and statistics indicator for the CPU and GPU will also be useful.

Here are all the settings in Borderlands 3:

Check out all the Xbox One controllers ever made

The Xbox team has released an interesting video about the history of the Xbox One controller since its first and never publicly revealed model.

The Xbox may be remembered as the loser of the eighth generation of consoles, but one can say that they still dominated the field. Their offer of controllers of different colors and types was excellent. In addition to the elite controller for those who wanted more, they gave users the ability to design the look of their controllers themselves, and in the last six years have offered numerous design variations - from a controller with a rubber handle to a greaseproof controller.

Unlike Sony's DualShock 4, the Xbox One controller had no luminous part and no touchpad of questionable value. Its innovations, such as the vibration on the trigger keys and the rubber rim on the analog sticks, were far more significant for the gaming experience and use.

Basically, the history of the Xbox One controller is certainly interesting, so it's interesting to see what kind of controller models Microsoft has made over the last half decade.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint PC requests have arrived, divided into four categories

Ubisoft has revealed what kind of hardware it will require PC players to launch the fall hit Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

host Recon Wildlands used to be quite a challenging game on the PC platform. Its successor will be a little more reasonable on this point, but Ubisoft has nevertheless prepared not two but four different configurations for it, which tentatively reveal what level of graphic quality we can expect with certain hardware.

Looking at the minimum configuration, Breakpoint is definitely more demanding than the Wildlands in all aspects - it looks for newer processors, more memory and more powerful graphics cards. The recommended configuration is somewhere so GTX 1060 cards will still be sufficient for 1080p high details, though now a 6GB model (Wildlands claimed 4GB).

As far as the top rank is concerned, for high detail in 4K resolution you will need fairly powerful hardware, primarily in the form of a graphics card where RTX 2080 is recommended (though the game will not have raytracing support). Of course, manufacturers often know how to exaggerate the official requirements, so Breakpoint might also be able to play on weaker hardware, with a bit of wistfulness and chemistry with the settings.

Here are all the requirements:

Minimum configuration for low detail in 1080p:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core I5 4460
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon R9 280X or Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 (4GB)

Recommended configuration for high detail in 1080p:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core I7 6700K
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 480 or Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 (6 GB)

Ultra configuration for ultra detail at 1440p:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X or Intel Core I7 6700K
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080

Elite configuration for ultra detail in 4K:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or Intel Core I7 7700K
RAM: 16 GB

GPU: AMD Radeon VII or Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080

Microsoft's studio for the Age of Empires series will not create new games at all

Microsoft will use a different strategy for the Age of Empires series in the future, developing games solely in partnership with other teams.

Microsoft has had different plans over the years for the Age of Empires game series. First purchased by the former Ensemble Studios and closed in 2009. Then two months ago, they founded a new studio in charge of the Age of Empires franchise exclusively. But as the creative director of the team explained for PCGamesInsider.biz, the studio will not be doing new Age of Empires games.

Specifically, as things stand, Microsoft will work with future teams in collaboration with other teams of future Age of Empires series games. The plan is the same for Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition, and for Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition, and we already knew earlier that Age of Empires 4 was running Relic Games, a studio known for the games of the Company of Heroes series.

The studio that Microsoft founded for AoE will only oversee what others are doing. This may be best, since the creators of the original games are no longer in the Microsoft family anyway.

Rainbow Six Siege will be free again, for a week

For who knows how many times, Ubisoft is already offering the opportunity to play Rainbow Six Siege for free on all platforms.

Rainbow Six Siege has recently received new content in an extension called Ember Rise, and the arrival of the Battle Pass format has been announced, which has not exactly impressed fans of the game. There is only one thing left for Ubisoft to announce - a new period for trying out the game.

Rainbow Six Siege will thus be free to play from tomorrow, August 28 at 3 pm until September 4 until 10 pm. This applies to all platforms, noting that Xbox Live gaming must have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription. In addition to being free to try during the period, the game will also be at a discount so you can get it on all platforms at different prices in different editions.

If you purchase the game for the duration of this promotion, all progress made during the free trial will remain saved for the purchased version of the game.
